Why Play Box Lacrosse?

NON-STOP PLAY - Boards create a non-stop playing environment. The training benefits to this are endless.

➢ Constant motion makes players continually adjust between offense and defense.
➢ Shots never go out of bounds, meaning there are more opportunities to take second and third chance shots. This forces all positions to stay on their toes and never give up on the ball.

NO LONG POLES - By requiring all players to use short sticks, defensemen are forced to improve their footwork and body position. In the spring, a defenseman's long pole becomes an aid rather than a crutch.

SMALLER SURFACE AREA IMPROVES STICK SKILLS - Playing on a smaller surface area forces players to use good fundamentals in order to be successful. The smaller area also makes offensive players work harder to get open and create space.

PLAY BOTH WAYS - With indoor, players run the full field. This gives both offense and defense a better understanding of the other's position and the midfield. The more you understand the other positions, the better you can learn to dominate them. The best defenders are those who understand offensive movement and visa versa.

GOALIES – Everybody gets a chance to strap on the Box Lacrosse Goalie Gear so Goalies get field time and everyone gets the reps they need.
