2009 Poway Titan Football Program Events & Activities

The Booster Club is non-profit organization status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Booster Club helps maintain open lines of communication between parents and coaches, aid in fundraising for the Poway High School Football program, determine how these funds should be allocated, and plan activities to involve the players in pre and post game events.

We need each family to volunteer for one (1) event/game/fundraiser to help due to the large scale of  activities we have coming up this season.

If there is an open position listed below for an event or fundraiser you would like to help with, contact Jacque Moreno jjmoreno@rocketmail.com and advise her the name of the event or fundraiser that you would like to volunteer for.

Students looking to accumulate community service hours are welcome to sign up! Note: All Volunteers must have internet access, email and some Microsoft Excel skills(if listed) or are willing to learn Excel basics.

Volunteer Coordinator- Entire Season

Responsible for soliciting Volunteers for all activities for the football season. Assign volunteers to tasks, send volunteer list to each manager/chairman and keep their information in an Excel worksheet by activity.

Collect contact information, player roster information, and take photos of all players for 2009 Fall season.

Freshman Game Support Crew - July through November
Freshman Game Support Manager: Jacque Moreno
This group of volunteers will support the Freshman team in the following areas.
 
1. Freshman Chain Gang  - August through November
Will be on the field for A & B home games.

2. Freshman Scout- August through November
Person will travel to our future opponent games in the county and film/video & scout them. Games are on Thursday afternoons. This person will need to own their own video camera and supply head coach with video card.

3. Freshman Coach Liason- Starting July through November
Person will help Freshman head coach with various duties. This person must be available to collect paperwork before/after practices from players and parents. Distribute information before/after practices on the field from players and parents.

Titan Apparel Table Store- Entire Season - July through November

Responsible for the management, marketing, stocking, display, and selling of all Titan football apparel. The apparel manager will coordinate financial matters with the Booster Treasurer and provide briefings for approval to the Booster Board for stock items, pricing, and budget matters. Manage a team of volunteers to run the tables at every JV & Varsity home game and various events throughout the season.

Titan Booster Club Membership Manager- Entire Season
Responsible for soliciting new members during events throughout the season. Coordinate financial matters with the Booster Treasurer and provide updates to the board.

Titan Football 101 For Moms - July 15th

Responsible for inviting all levels to attend, collecting all rsvp's. Coordinate set up with coaches and with restaurant.

Titan Discount Card Fundriaser - July 13 - July 22nd.

Responsible for the management, distribution and collection of all coupons for each player at every level. Collect all monies, detail information and give to the Booster Treasurer for reconciliation.

Post Fundraiser Pizza Party August 10th
Responsible for calculating merchant card collection by player to see if they are eligible to attend pizza party. Give details to the board, solicit local pizza donations, get bids if needed, track costs and handle delivery of pizza to the school.

Community Support Fundraiser - August 11th-14th
Responsible for the distribution and collection of all letters for each player at every level.  Collect monies and give to the Booster Treasurer for reconciliation. Maintain an database/spreadsheet for each level showing who received a packet and turned in their letters. When donation is received, letter will be given back to the player showing how much donation was recieved. Send out a thank you note on behalf of all booster members including tax id # to each person who donated.

Scrimmage Barbecue Coordinator - August 22nd
Responsible for inviting all levels for the annual summer barbecue at the first scrimmage game. Coordinate catering and set up.

Chipotle Titan Nights - September
Responsible for setting up one free meal for players and one parent fundriaser night at Chipotle in Poway. 50% of of the proceeds go to Titan Football.

Responsible for setting up Wednesday Titan Nights fundriaser at Kaminski's in Poway. 5% of the proceeds to go to Titan Football.

Business Partnerships- Entire Season
Responsible for soliciting local businesses to buy into the football business partnership program. Businesses will give 10-20% of sales back to the football program. Coordinate fundraiser nights with participating merchant partners.

JV & Varsity Friday Lunches

Responsible for contracting a cater to deliver lunches to football room for all JV & Varsity players.

Titan Football Spirit Night - Pop Warner & Homecoming Games
Responsible for purchasing Titan Spirit beads to be distributed for free at Pop Warner Night & Homecoming.

Varsity P.N.T. - Pasta Night Thursday’s- August through November
Responsible for setting up a pasta dinner for Varsity players at a player residence. Food provided by Souplantation.

Responsible for the management, production and distribution of all home game programs for JV & Varsity teams.

Titan Football Photography - August through November
Responsible for manageing all player, game, fundraising and/or event photographs. Schedule photographers to shoot games/events by level. Retreive original photos, download to secure drive then upload to team website. Upload photos onto Oasis computers for public access at PHS.

Senior Night Ceremony Committee
Responsible for all aspects of Senior Night held on the last home game of the season. Sending out invitations for all Senior parents, ensure photos are take of each family, coordinate photos with Game Program Director for the special program issue.
