PUCK HOGS FACE DIRTY DOZEN IN FINAL

AUGUST 29, 2008 - The Puck Hogs learned who they would be facing in the Silver B Championship on September 5, as the Dirty Dozen defeated the Flying Wizards on Friday night 4-3 in overtime.

A tight game between the two teams saw the Dozen jump up to a 2-0 lead on the powerhouse Flying Wizards before the Flizz were able to tie, and then take a 3-2 lead in the game.  When the Dozen tied the game late in the third period, it took a round of overtime and four rounds of the shootout for the Dozen to come out on top and earn their birth in this Friday's Championship Final.

The Puck Hogs and Dirty Dozen split their season series against each other, with the Hogs winning the first match 3-2 in the shootout and the Dozen winning the second game 4-1. The Silver B Championship game will take place on Friday, September 5 at 7:45 PM.

In Consolation round action, the Volcanoes defeated the Phantiaks and the Pints defeated the Ice Dawgs.
