Hawks to wear Special Jerseys on Nov.15th
Genesis House is holding a number of events to highlight November as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. They  include a new idea that will see local hockey teams playing in a different colour jersey. Executive Director Ang Braun says they've approached a number of teams to wear a white Genesis House jersey for one game. They are borrowing the idea from a similar awareness event used for breast cancer. She notes the response from coaches and executive has been positive. Confirmed games so far include the Winkler Flyers November 7th
,
Pembina Valley Hawks November 15th, and Plum Coulee Express November 28th. Braun says they are excited about this first time event,  because it will reach a different audience than what their awareness events usually do
