10/7/2009Hoops Haven: Gill ready to challenge in SCT

Got my N.J. Hoops today and I noticed several mentions of Gill St. Bernard’s. Seems the Knights’ sophomores had a productive offseason. Jay Gomes also had Gill with the No. 4 freshman in the state (Jaren Sina). The Knights seem poised to challenge for Somerset County supremacy. - Jerry Carino 'Hoops Haven'.

7/10/2009GMC Hoops Blogsphere: Ridge Very Active
Ridge has been very active this summer by going to WmPatterson, the Scarlet Shootout, Rutgers Team Camp, Hoop Group Elite Camp, Hoop Group Metro Showcase, the Kean Iron-Man Challenge, FDU (Teaneck) Team Camp and the Primetime Summer Shootout. Unlike other schools, Ridge does not play in any summer leagues but more than makes up for that with team camps, getting in more than 45 games this summer.

6/6/2009CHEDDA weighs in on Plfd/Ridge in '09/'10
Re: Chedda by bizmarkie2, 6/6/09
(PLFD will be) good again! Not as explosive as last year (w/o Epps & AB) but we're going to be real solid! But truthfully speaking Ridge is the team to beat in North Jersey this year! When you have alot of returning players .....you're going to be a force....Ridge is going to be real tough (to beat)!

Re: Next Years Som County Top 10? by bwater6969, 4/1/09
Ridge will be good next year but not unbeatable. Some young teams last year will be bigger and stronger next year. Gill has whole team back and a very good 8th grader coming up. we'll see who does the work in the off season.

3/6/2009Hoops Haven picks Plainfield in a close one

Plainfield at Ridge: Plainfield came to Basking Ridge and conquered last year, but this is a bigger, better Ridge team with a bigger, better gym. And it will be packed to the gills with the Red Devil faithful. If the Cardinals don’t defend the 3-point line Lennie Cathcart and the guys are going to sweat it out. Lennie, grab a towel (and one of those great hot pretzels they serve at Ridge home games). Hoops Haven says: Plainfield 72, Ridge 69. -Jerry Carino
