Demons Meet Hopewell in 2nd Round of Sectionals Wednesday Night

 

R. J. Reynolds, 4th seed from the CPC, defeated Greensboro Grimsley High School, 2nd seed from the Metro 4A conference, 73 - 55 Monday night in Greensboro.  The Demons advance to the 2nd Round of the 4A West Sectionals, meeting the Hopewell High School Titans (winner of the MECA conference, 25 - 0, ranked 25th nationally by PrepNation) at their gym in Huntersville at 7:00PM on Wednesday night, February 25th.  The complete NCSHAA 4A West Sectonal bracket can be found by clicking here.

In other sectionals action, all four CPC school remain undefeated after the first round of sectionals.  Mt. Tabor defeated wild card East Forsyth 61 - 44 and advances to meet Vance High School in the next round.  North Forsyth defeated North Mecklenberg, 3rd seed from the MECA, 55 - 54 and advances to meet Page High School in the next round.  West Forsyth defeated Person County 85 - 63 and advances on to meet High Point Central in the next round.
