Demons End Season 14-12 with 2nd Round Playoff Loss To Hopewell

 

Huntersville Hopewell  81, Reynolds 68:   Alex Godette scored 19 points as Huntersville Hopewell defeated visiting Reynolds in a West Sectional 2 semifinal last night.  Hopewell is now 26 – 0 and ranked 25th in the country by PrepNation.  Hopewell made 26 of 40 shots from the field, averaging 65% field goal completion.

 

Down by as much as 17 points in the 2nd quarter, Reynolds clawed its way back to within 3 points late in the 3rd quarter, but then succumbed to Hopewell’s accurate shooting and foul trouble as it tried to defend its basket.  Will Carpenter led Reynolds with 17 points. Nick Wilcox and Matt Kunz finished with 12 points apiece.
