Saxon Softball History:

Roberta Perkins was the first South Salem Softball Coach. She was also the girls Basketball Coach and led the Saxons to its first ever girls Basketball State Championship in 1976.

Other Saxon softball coaches preceding Coach McCormick were Mike Stortz, Pam Medzegian and Jon Kawamura.

Before the current varsity and JV fields were built in 1998, the Saxons played all of their home games at Bush Park.
