                                 BILLIKENS HOCKEY!

MISSION STATEMENT: To offer high caliber hockey players at Saint Louis University the opportunity to play collegiate hockey while getting a great education.

SUCCESS: The Billikens hockey team has been a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association for 12 years. The team has been successful at both the DII and DI level, having been to three National Tournaments.

Experience: The Billikens Hockey Club has been a professionally run organization for 12 seasons. The team practices 2-3 times per week on weeknights and plays a 30-35 game schedule per year. Players travel as a team on a charter bus and stay in hotels with four players per room.

League: The SLU Hockey Club participates in the MACHA Gold league at the DII ACHA level. In addition to a DII league schedule, the Billikens will also play four weekend series against DI ACHA teams.
GAME SCHEDULE: The schedule is geared as much as possible around the students acamdemic calendar. The team plays a 30-35 game schedule against DI and DII opponents. The Billikens travel 7-8 times per year on a charter bus and also take one trip by air per year.

PLAYERS: SLU actively recruits players from the Junior A & B level, AAA, AA/Central States and elite HS players. The team hosts a tryout to anyone interested in playing the weekend before school starts in August.

TRYOUTS: The SLU Hockey Club will host tryouts for the 08-09 season on August 22,23,24 before classes are in session at the Affton Ice Rink. Times will be announced shortly. Incoming freshmen who are trying out and returning players are allowed to move into their residence halls five days earlier than normal students. If you are an incoming freshmen interested in playing hockey please click on the recruiting form so that the coaching staff can get your name and residence to the resident hall director.

Directions - Take I-270 South to Exit 3, Gravois Rd., which is the first exit south of I-44. Turn left on Gravios Rd. (east) approx. 3 miles to McNary Rd. Turn right on McNary, which is the entrance for the Affton Athletic Association across from Grant Rd.
