Chesterfield, MO~ The Northeast Missouri Cyclones finished the 2009 GMFL Gateway schedule 10-0(12-0 overall) by defeating division rival Arkansas Wildcats 60-12, and NAFL opponent, Kansas City Shockers 20-6.
The Cyclones will continue the 09' season with the Gateway Conference Semifinals against the Midwest Chargers. The Cyclones defeated the Chargers 59-0 back in week three of conference play. "They're a young talented team who have matured a lot during the course of the season, I expect it to be a little tougher game than last time" said Coach Robertson. The Chargers are led by Defensive Lineman Tyrell Henley(16.5 sacks), and rookie of the year canidate, running back Mike Clark. Who had over 800 yards rushing.
The Cyclones come into this game with a 24-game win streak versus GMFL opponents. They will look to continue their dominance of the league, on the legs of running back Zack Abron and the lightning fast quickness of their defense, led by safety Marqueas McLaurin and linebacker Evan Brinker.
