Every Month throughout the offseason Coach Troy will keep everyone informed on what's going on with the Cyclones Orghanization. Coaches Corner: November Coach Troy - 10/29/2009
Well with the 2009 season behind us and many changes within the organization over the last few months, we are finally ready for the offseason. The Cyclones have brought on John Aebischer as a fulltime General Manager. John joined the Cyclones as a player midway through the 09' season helping the O-line open holes for their 4 headed monster running attack and protecting Hollywood(Mike McMullen) our pretty boy quarterback and reigning GMFL MVP. John has already been a major part in setting up our annual fundraiser's and getting our name out on the streets. We welcome someone like AB with open arms and hope he sticks around for awhile....
Gone, Is my partner in crime Coach Chavo. This one kinda caught me by suprise with the timing. I knew he was struggling with where he was at as a coach, and also that he had his own ideas. Unfortunatly for him I'm kind of a big deal, and not going anywhere for awhile... Anyway, I'm positive Chavo will do fine as he moves on to lead his own team. He has great leadership abilities and a good young talented group of guys to work with. Everyone wish him luck.
As for the season, well we won another GMFL Championship. That gives us two in a row, and three total(including the MLFA in 2006). Had a ton of young guys who really stood out and some first time older guys who took center stage this summer. With the young talents of William Royston, Terry Martin, Dominique Jones, Ryan Newman(will be playing at Truman St. next fall), Christian Nelson, and Alex Thomas our future looks bright. Add in a guy like Trey Dorman, and mix them with the core of guys we already have..... I smell DYNASTY!
Stay tuned for next month when I will make some major announcements on some exciting events and more changes for the Cyclones.
