Complete History of the St. Charles/Northeast Missouri Cyclones
The Cyclones were founded by Jason Leadingham in December of 2000 as members of the newly formed North American Football League. The Cyclones played in the NAFL from 2001-2003 posting a 11-21 record over those 3 seasons. In 2004 the Cyclones joined another new league the Minor League Football Association(MLFA) were in three seasons they posted a 32-5 record, and winning the 2006 Eastern Conferance Championship. The Cyclones also made the move from St. Charles County up to Vandalia, MO. and took on the name Northeast Missouri Cyclones. The Cyclones took the 2007 season off and merged with former teammate David Rocha and the Missouri Wildcats. The Wildcat/Cyclone merger didn't last but one season, however they did win another MLFA league Championship as the Northeast Missouri Wildcats. In 2008 the Cyclone re-emerged on to the scene under new ownership and a new home back in the St. Louis area. Troy Robertson brought them back from the dead and led them to an 13-0 record and another league championship in the Great Midwest Football League(GMFL).
