"IceHoles Cant Play Catch Up"
In what was forshadowed 14 seconds into the game, the 'Holes played behing the Warriors the entire game. Never down ond out, but always behind. In a frustarting periods 4,5,and 6, the 'Holes just gave up too many soft goals. Quickly down 3-0 against the Warriors created a formidable challenge
The IceHoles dominated from beginning to end on the ice. The scoreboard told a different story. Unfortunately thats the story that counts. Most of the play was inside their blue line. Doing a great job managing 7 goals agains the warriors the Forwards and Defense did an excellent job mustering opportunities. But it seemed everytime the 'Holes scored to make it close, an odd bounce, lost puck, or opportune Warrior gently nudged it home.
As the regular season comes to a close next week, the 'Holes are looking forward to what seems to be the 12th meeting with Whalens. Will this finally be the time to score more than this team?

10/25/08 IceHoles to return to Lake Placid to defend Title!!!!
The Syracuse IceHoles went to Lake Placid 2/1/08 to play in the Labatt Blue USA Hockey adult classic tournamet. The team has once again entered into the January 30th, 2009 Tournament. The team was a mix of 9 regular 'Holes, 5 Nothern Saranac Lakers, and two DownStaters. What a combo it was as Three ful lines mixed it up well with teams from the Northeast. The IceHoles went 2-1 in the first rounds making the title game. They beat "Snail Pail" for the second time to take it all. It took a late goal with minutes remaining to get the game winner in the 5-4 contest. The IceHoles called a timeout and put a line that cotained one member from each line. It worked! The IceHoles played in the new Intermediate division and feel the seeding was perfect. The IceHoles expect to return next year for a 4th straight appearance to defend its title. Hopefully Snail Pail will also be attending.
