On July 18, 2009 Conroe's Rocky Long battled it out with WEC vet and American Top Team fighter Chris Manuel for the Urban Rumble Championship and the State of Texas 145 pound Titles. This was a 5 round war in which Rocky received a large cut on his forehead in the first round. Rocky fought through it and continued to bang. Most of the fight was fought in the clinch with Manuel taking Long to the mat to attempt to submit him. Long proved too much in his submission defense and was able to thwart off every attempt and bring the fight back to their feet. In this battle Long was able to win the decision to the excitement of the Rocky Long home town crowd and take both titles.
