Why should I play rugby?

Once you play rugby, you find no other game can match its excitement, camraderie, and sportsmanship.  Trust us.  Just play.

Will it take me a long time to learn the fundamentals?

Honestly, no it will not.  Like all sports, one has to master the fundamentals of the game, but rugby fundamentals are not very technical.  You do not have to learn how to bounce anything, hit anything with a stick, or buy lots of crazy looking equipment.  Once you start to play the game, all the pieces fall into place pretty quickly. 

Sometimes I cry for no apparent reason.  Why is this?

Because your life lacks direction and focus.  What better way to provide meaning than joining a rugby team?  It is cheaper than buying a plasma screen TV, and rugby is far more entertaining.
Will I get hurt?

Here is the current breakdown of injuries our ruggers have sustained and where they were injured in the last year:

- - 2 ACL injuries from playing pick-up basketball
- - 2 injuries from kickball.  (MCL and Torn Quad).
- - 0 injuries from a rookie rolling out of a moving car filled with strippers who were looking to score dope.
- - (-1) boyfriend of a rugger's girlfriend's friend drunkenly slamming his pint glass into a wall after losing (badly) to one of our ruggers in a boat race.  We figure non-player's injuries do not count.

The lesson: Choose your leisure activities wisely.  Rugby is apparently really safe.
When and where is the party?

The parties are being scheduled.  We are still working on having a mondo-hugemongous party this fall.  However pub crawls are being scheduled.  Be sure to check the "Social Events" link for information on upcoming events.

How come the hot girls on the "A Hot Girl" page are not always "hot"?

It is quite simple really.  We could go into some sort of deconstructionist, post-modern critique of gender roles, the media and its influence on sexual tastes, and how attractiveness norms have changed throughout the history of time, but really the guy that updates that page just has way too much time on his hands.
