PARENT VOLUNTEERS

Special Events Chairperson – A parent to help coordinate special events the lacrosse program participates in during the course of the calendar year.  Special events we have done in the past year have included Gurnee Days and Parade, Hooah Palooza, Homecoming, and a table during school registration week.  This person would take the lead in making these programs successful, looking for other special event opportunities, and establish a committee of other interested parents.

Apparel Manager- This person would coordinate apparel and spirit item sales at events and source and coordinate vendors and supplies for future materials.  These would be items separate from on-line vendors who supply decals, water bottles, and player apparel orders at time of registration (caps, warm ups, t shirts).

Statistician- Coordinate compiling of stats for each team.  This person would need to find a parent for each team to keep the stats and compile them for the coaches and IHSLA and WALA websites.

Equipment Manager- Parent or parents to coordinate the distribution and supply of lacrosse equipment the teams will need.  This includes practice and game cages, balls, first aid kits, coaches’ gear, etc. This committee would also compile an inventory before and after each season and then forward needs requests to the board.

Fundraising- We need parents to help the Fundraising chairperson in identifying and seeking funds from local businesses, previous donors and coordinating team fundraising activities.

Youth Lacrosse- We need parent coaches and helpers for youth lacrosse.  The program is growing dramatically and we need parents with youth involved in the program to help.  High school players will help coach, but parent influence is also needed.  This will include outdoor as well as indoor seasons and parents can help as they have time.
