Weekend Games In Jeopardy of Rain Outs

Sunday's game at WCC against New River CC was washed out due to the heavey weekend rains than began on Friday afternoon.  All around Southwest Virginia flash flood warning were issued for the weekend indicating how much rain fell in 48 hours begining on Friday.

The Wildcats will travel to Martinsville on Sunday October 4 to take on NJCAA Patrick Henry CC Patriots.  Game time is 1PM at Hooker Field, home of the Martinsville Mustangs.
 
Saturday's Game at Carrol Co HS in Hillsville has been washed out due to the heavy rains sustained on Friday and Saturday morning.  A makeup game may be announced later depending on calendar availability. 

Sunday's game against NRCC is still on as scheduled, the field will be evaluated for playability late on Saturday evening.  Any changes will be announced ASAP.

WCC travels to Hillsville, VA to take on the Carrol Co AAU team in Saturday DH action.  Game #1 starts @ 12 noon with Dakota Crouse taking the mound.  Game #2 will follow with Coy Mulhall making his pitching debut.

The WILDCATS will then host VCCS member New River CC on Sunday at WCC campus.  Game #1 will start at 1 PM with Chandis Goff (5 inning 4 hits, 0.00 ERA) making his second start, and Jared Sells (5 innings, 1 hit, 1.52 ERA) will take the hill for his second start in Game #2.  Both will be looking to build on the solid first performance against UNC-Charlotte last weekend.

The WILDCAT hitters hope to bouce back from 14 strike out's at the hands of UNC-Charlotte..
