The Weber State Baseball Club has been a part of the Weber State University Club system since 1996.  The program was successful then when it was part of the Big Sky Conference that included teams from Washington, Idaho, Montana and Utah.  In 2000 the team made the jump to the National Club Baseball Association, an organization dedicated to providing college level competition to schools across the country.

Since joining the league the Wildcats have won 7 conference championships and have appeared in the World Series tournament three times.  In 2003 the team capped an 11-0 conference record with a National Championship in Bradenton, FL. The team defeated James Madison University 2-1, Colorado State 6-1 and 6-3 to move to the championship game against the defending National Champions Texas A&M University.  The Wildcats completed the tournament, defeating A&M 4-0.  The Wildcats defense set a record in the world series tournament by only committing 1 error in 24 innings of play.  The 2003 team finished the season with a 25-10 mark and three players selected to the All-American squad.

The team plays both a fall and spring schedule against other club teams and junior colleges.  The fall schedule generally consist of 16-20 games to give coaches an idea of the level of talent trying out for the spring squad.  The spring schedule is typically a 45-56 game regular season schedule.   Outside of the 15 conference games and club tournaments the team schedules 25-30 games against Junior Colleges from Montana, Colorado, Utah and Arizona.

Weber State prides itself on providing the best opportunity to local and out of state players to participate in college baseball.  Although the team is considered a club it does not allow that mentality on or off the field.  "We strive for discipline, on the field, off the field and in the classroom".

"Play the best competion out there, learn what you don't know and improve what you do" Coach Jauregui.
