SPRINGFIELD WOLFPACK READY TO BEGIN 2009 INDOOR FOOTBALL SEASON!!

The Springfield WolfPack Professional Indoor Football Team will open their third indoor season at home on Saturday, April 25th, 2009 against the Florida Scorpions in Mediacom Ice Park.  The WolfPack will play 6 home games at Mediacom Ice Park, with an additional home game to be scheduled at a later date.  All Saturday home games will start at 7:05 pm.  Springfield's first four games of the 2009 season will be home games starting with the April 25th game versus Florida, then Saturday, May 2nd versus the Iowa Blackhawks, Saturday May, 9th versus the Lincoln Tornadoes, and Saturday, May 16th versus the Kansas Koyotes.  The remaining home dates are May 30th versus Lincoln and June 6th versus Kansas.  WolfPack ticket prices will remain the same as last season.  Visit the ticket link for prices, seating and contact information!

A new coaching staff will be part of the WolfPack's improvements.  Mike Burris has been named the Head Coach and will coordinate the offense.  Former Coach Jeremy Beatty gave high recommendations for Mike Burris, and were looking forward to unveiling a new offense!
Bryon Kapica has been added to handle special teams, Steve Brown will be the new defensive coordinator, Carl Thomas will manage the defensive line, and Tim Sommerfield will be the assistant line coach.  Anthony Teal will coach the linebackers.

Notable WolfPack players returning for the 2009 season include quarterback Colby Hughes, receiver Brett Lovekamp, defensive ends Anthony Teal and Carl Thomas, strong safey Jonathan Frazier, cornerback Jason Mudge, defensive back Chad Edson, center Joe Helms and  free safety Jamison Boyd to name a few.
