We would like to welcome you all to the Durango Summer Shootout. The 26 team shootout will be played at Durango High School June 19-21, 2009. Thus far we have attracted teams from Arizona, Southern and Northern California, Northern Nevada and of course the finest teams of Henderson and Las Vegas, Nevada. The shootout pools and tournament play will be announced online June 1st.
Marriott Hotels and Budget Rent a Car are proud sponsors of the Durango Summer Shootout. If you have inquired about the tournament and have nailed down a spot Marriott will be contacting you about booking rooms. They have a super room rate for summer with breakfast included. Congrats to the Mesquite HS Wildcats out of Gilbert, Arizona on winning the second annual Durango Summer Shootout. They had a great performance in the final against the Wildcats from Las Vegas, Nevada and won the Gold Championship bracket. Also congrats to the Wildcats on a fantastic tournament. They will be a team to be reckon with in the Northeast Conference in the Las Vegas area.
The winner of the Silver Bracket are the Patriots of Las Vegas, Nevada. Their only loss was to eventual overall champion Mesquite from Arizona in pool play.
The winner of the Bronze Bracket was Hercules HS out of the San Francisco area of California.

Bracket Play Begins on Saturday. Third and Fourth place teams will go to the Bronze bracket. Second place teams will go to the Silver bracket. First place teams will go to the Gold bracket. Teams are guaranteed three more games once bracket play begins.
