The summer session is a great opportunity for players to continue their development with Head Coach - Dave Bereson, and his amazing staff of assistant coaches.  Come join the fun and watch your child play the greatest game on ice.... 

  A gear fitting session will be held Sunday, May 20th from 1-3 at the rink.  Please utilize this time to get your players gear, there will be lots to do on the 21st.

Rocky Mountain Hockey School

Skills Camp

June 11-15, 2012

 

Skills, Drills, & Small Games - 6-10yrs

The skating that will be covered will work on edges, skating stride backward and forward, crossover, stopping, turning, quicker starts, and transitional skating. Puck skills like passing, stickhandling, and over all better control of the puck will be covered in full detail. All of these skills will be taught in full detail. After the skills are improved the staff will show how to use the skills in game situations within small area games and hockey specific drills.

Powerskating & Stickhandling - 11-18yrs

Pure skating fundamentals will be covered in-depth, including: edges, power, speed, quickness, forward & backward stride, drive leg, turns, cross-unders, starts, stops, lateral mobility. The stickhandling segment of the camp will focus on pure stickhandling creativity. We will cover soft hands, fakes, dekes, puck protection, movement, and ice awareness and vision.

* All players will be separated by age and skill level on and off ice for the optimal learning experience

* Schedules subject to change due to registration levels up to one week before the first day of camp
