United captures Second Division Title
League Profile
The San Francisco Soccer Football League (SFSFL) was ranked by Soccer America as one of the top amateur soccer leagues in the country. The league has four divisions (Major, First, Second, and Third), where the teams play intra-divisional games. In addition, our league includes the California Premier Soccer League (CPSL) which has both amateur and semi-professional teams. This division was used as a feeder for the Major League Soccer (MLS) at its inception in 1995. The season runs from March through November, with an inter-divisional tournament (Copa de San Francisco) held during June/July. New teams in the league are required to play their first year in the Third Division. At the end of each season, the top two teams within each division get promoted, while the bottom two teams from each division get demoted. All games are played on Sundays.

Team Profile
1997 was our first year in the SFSFL, therefore, as required by the league we played in the Third Division. As one of the top two teams in our division in 1997, we were promoted to the Second Division for 1998. At the beginning of the 1998 season we set our goal to win the Second Division and advance for the second straight year. We accomplished this goal by placing first in the Second Division thus clinching a promotion to the First Division for the 1999 season. From 1999-2005, we played competitive soccer in the First Division and were promoted to the Major Division for the 2006 season.

The average age on the team is 28, with players ranging from 21 to 40 years of age. Most of our members played collegiate soccer and attended such major universities as Berkeley, UVA, Maryland, Michigan, Penn State, Regis, Boston College, Princeton, Pennsylvania, Washington University of St. Louis, Colorado State and Colorado School of Mines. Off the soccer field, our team members lead active lifestyles (competitive & recreational) across several sports (Volleyball, Basketball, Skiing/Snowboarding, Mountain Biking, Mountain Climbing, Scuba Diving, Running, Softball). Professionally, the members of our team range from artists to opera singers, computer programmers to financial analysts, doctors to attorneys, marketers to entrepreneurs, and from architects to engineers. Although a diverse group, we are a team that is united equally by the passion of the sport, and a shared quality of our personal characters.

Team Mission
We will be individuals with great soccer talent committed to unity and winning as a team. We started this team with the vision of talented soccer players who enjoy each other's company on and off the field. We will take this vision into each season focusing on continually increasing our talent pool. We are continually seeking new players to compliment our roster. To join us for practice and arrange a tryout, contact any of our team staff including Jeff Miller, Geoff Beckham or Michael Shiloh.
