USING, EXITING, & RETURNING THE GET STARTED CHECKLIST

The setup checklist will help you quickly enter the most important information you need to get started. The navigation lists the main features, and once you add an item it will add a green checkmark. 


Follow the steps in order using the help cards for a smooth walkthrough - but feel free to click a link on the menu if you want to return to something or jump ahead. The only rule is -- there are no rules! 

  • LEAVING THE CHECKLIST NAV: Click the Exist Setup link to go to the standard navigation and dashboard.
  • RETURNING: click the Get Started link on the standard navigation, and click the Get Started button at the top right to return

VIEW YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION

Tap the blue "person" icon on the top right corner to view your personal account information.

SETTING UP SCHEDULES 

Use the SCHEDULE & RESULTS feature to add and edit games and events to your schedule one at a time. However, the IMPORT and SCHEDULE WIZARD feature can be used to automate the scheduling process, so see the sections below on using those options.

 

If you already have a spreadsheet or email with your schedule listed, you can use the SCHEDULE IMPORT feature. You can paste your list of games into the SCHEDULE IMPORT and follow the steps to match your columns up so it knows how you listed your teams, locations, dates, etc. You can even import additional games, and it will help you match up your new list to your existing teams. On top of that, it will even create new teams for you if you need to add them when you import!

ADDING PLAYERS TO YOUR TEAMS

Use the ROSTER feature to add and edit players one at a time, however there is an IMPORT PEOPLE feature to automatically do this. See below for using this feature.

  • You can find the ROSTER feature in the PEOPLE group when you open the MAIN MENU.

SETTING UP YOUR PUBLIC WEBSITE

HomeTeamsONLINE has amazing tools to set up and customize your sports program's website. You can click the purple "ACTIVATE" button on the right (under the blue icon) to quickly make your website live. Your schedule, scores, rosters, etc., will be posted automatically. You can then use many advanced customization features to do just about anything you want!

  • The standard web address for your site is https://htosports.com/<username>. Get the exact link by clicking your site name at the top and clicking SITE DETAILS. 
  • If you already have a domain name registered, you can redirect it to you.
  • If you have a ALL-STAR or CHAMPION site, we will register a domain for you and set it up as part of the package features!  
  • If required, you can password protect your site or even specific pages.

ADDING REGISTRATION FORMS

For CHAMPION packages, you can create as many online registration forms as you need for your organization. You can link to most of the popular payment options. We do not add on extra fees per transaction!

 

The latest payment options are shown when you click "Payment Options" when editing a form

  • The tracking system works with Paypal, Stripe and AuthNet 
  • Venmo, Zelle and Pay-by-Check must be manually added for tracking 
  • You can create a test form and leave it "inactive" while testing the feature. 

 

ADDING COACHES & STAFF TO YOUR TEAMS

Use the COACHES & STAFF feature to add coaches, staff, and even officials to your teams and leagues. To automate this process, there is also an IMPORT PEOPLE feature. See below for using this feature.

  • You can find the COACHES & STAFF feature in the PEOPLE group when you open the MAIN MENU.

COMMUNICATION TOOLS

As you add players, coaches, staff and fans you automatically have them available for emails and texting.

  • The MESSAGE CENTER allows you to send messages to certain groups, or individuals easily. You can save any list you send to and reuse it. 
  • When editing game info, it allows you to automatically send schedule updates to certain groups.

SETTING UP COACHES & STAFF USING THE PEOPLE IMPORT

If you already have a spreadsheet or email with your various players, coaches, etc, listed, you can use the PEOPLE IMPORT feature. You can paste your list of people into the PEOPLE IMPORT and follow the steps to decide what type of people (coaches, players) and match your columns up so it knows how you listed names, titles, contact info, etc.

  • You can find the PEOPLE IMPORT in the PEOPLE group when you open the MAIN MENU.

POSTING PAGES

HomeTeamsONLINE has many standard pages that you can use for your webpages, and you can also create CUSTOM PAGES as well. All your games and events will have their own page, along with player profiles, coaches, and much, much more. Everything designed to work on all different devices automatically, from older phones to big screen computers!

  • You can find the WEBSITE group from the MAIN MENU and start posting the pages you want.

DESIGNING YOUR SITE

HomeTeamsONLINE has amazing tools to design the look of your website. We provide many levels of customization (power users love us!). Keep it simple or get into advanced customization, its up to you!

 

  • Click the main menu and go to the DESIGN group to see the many options for customizing the look of your site, including making your own banner and choosing your links.
