HomeTeamsONLINE Sports Websites for Teams, Leagues & Schools
Important Note on Browser/Platform Compatibility:
The HTML Editor is available by switching to the HTML editor at the bottom of any text areas, ore pressing the Source button in the toolbar. Those who prefer HTML only can set the HTML editor under Teams & Schedules > Schedule & Results > Options > Editing Defaults.
What is HTML?:
HTML stands for Hyper-Text Markup Language. It is a simple formatting language created for the Internet. Most of the formatting you see on the Internet is created using HTML, including your HomeTeamsONLINE website. In the early days of the Internet, you would have to understand how to use HTML to create even simple documents for display. Now there are many tools which allow you to create documents in sophisticated formats without having to know anything about HTML. HomeTeamsONLINE has included a special editor so you have further control over the formatting of the text you place on your website; this editor actually creates the HTML code for you.
Using the HTML Editor Features:
You can format text by simply highlighting the characters and words you wish to format, and clicking one of the formatting icons on the HTML editor's menu bar. Clicking a second time will remove the formatting in most cases. The menu bar has the following features as shown in this picture:
Bold, Italic, Underline, Justify Left, Center, Right and Full, Bullet List, Number List, Left Indent and Right Indent.
HTML Errors:
If you try to edit using HTML codes directly and make a mistake it may cause problems displaying the rest of your page. If you suspect a problem, the easiest solution is to delete all or most of the text in your text entry box and resubmit it.
