Online Store

Create a online store that allows fans to purchase products with detailed options!

 

IMPORTANT: Orders are not tracked on the HomeTeamsONLINE website, they are managed through your payment processing service. (Payment information from PayPal and Stripe is NOT sent back to this website for tracking purposes, unlike the registration feature.) You must log into your payment account to see the product that was ordered along with the payment receipt. Payment notifications are sent directly from the payment processor.

 

Setting Up Products to Sell Online

The Store feature allows you to post information about your merchandise with options associated with the products. You can provide instructions for requesting size, color, etc. Be sure to offer clear instructions, with a list of the options that are available.

 

IMPORTANT: The online store is very basic, its intended to allow an easy way to put in orders for uniforms and other team gear, without needing to set up a third party store solution. Delivery information would have to be explained in the intro message. Normally it should be used for items that you would "pick-up at practice", etc. 
 

Some people use the registration package feature instead of the store, which keeps a copy of the form with the additional information you would want for shipping, etc.

 

 

Adding a New Item

Click Add A New Product & complete the Product Name, Price, and Description fields.

If necessary, use the Production Options field to enter further instructions &/or advanced options for drop-downs for size, colors, pricing, etc.

Payment Processing

Enter the required information for the payment method you wish to use. PayPal requires your account email, while Venmo requires your Venmo ID and Stripe is a bit more complicated, so you will want to contact support so we can add the required Stripe codes.

You will need to log into your payment processing service to view sales. The Payment processors do not send information back to our website.

Make an Item Required

To make an option required, put an asterisk * in front of the label:

* Size

* Color

Create a Multiple Choice List

To create multiple choice list, use two forward slashes //:
Label // Choice1, Choice2, Choice3, etc
Size // S,M,L,XL,XXL
Color // Black, White, Red

Creating Multiple Options for an Item

To make several dropdown lists place && between options:

Label1 // Choice1, Choice2, Choice3 &&  Label2 // Choice1, Choice 2

Size // S,M,L,XL,XXL && Color // Black, White

Options with Special Price

To specify a unique price for a selected option, add the price at the end in square brackets [ ]:
Size // S[$20],M,L,XL,XXL[$30]


Be sure to specify the price in the brackets!

Options with Modifier

To modify the price for a selected option, add the price in square brackets with a plus or minus [-$0] [+$0]:
Name [+$25]

 

If you would like to charge per letter, add the modifier like this:

Name [+$1/letter]

Example with Everything

*Size // S[$20],M,L,XL,XXL[$35] && *Color // Black, White, Red && Name for Embroidery [+$25] OR Name [+$1/letter]


In this example, there will be two drop downs for Size and Color, with one text box for Name or a charge per letter.
Size is required and if the visitor selects S or XXL they will get special pricing. Color is also required.
Name will have a text box. If the visitor types into the box, $25 will be added to the price or $1 per letter, whichever way it was set up.

Tips
  • Click the gear icon on the far right of the Store page to access Currency settings and to set the Currency Symbol
  • Click the gear icon tab to select General settings such as hiding disabled items, viewing images, and maximum quantity per item
  • Your buttons and product options will not appear until the PayPal email has been entered
  • The store will only work with PayPal as the merchant.  It will not function without PayPal
  • When purchasing products, PayPal will open in a new window. Additional products selected in the HTO Store page will add the new items to the PayPal checkout window as new items are added
  • The Store does not have any advanced options for calculating shipping fees or discounts at this time. Some users choose to sell their products in Registration if they require additional information from the the visitors purchasing the products. You can create a "Store" custom page with images of your products, and add a link to a Registration Form for purchasing the products
