The Admin Home Page / Getting Started

All your information is kept confidential.

 

Your website will have features based on the type of website you are using. Features vary between league and team websites, and the features available will vary depending on what level site you have purchased. Features that can be purchased but are not yet activated are shown "grayed out" in the navigation bar and the Admin Directory.

THE ADMIN HOME PAGE
On the left side of the admin home page is a checklist of links to the available features, separated by package. At the top of this page is a welcome message with quick links to the Admin Directory and the CONTACT FORM if you need to contact support with any questions.

FREE Domain Feature: If you are a CHAMPION or ALL-STAR user, use this contact form to send us an email request to set up your free domain as part of the free domain feature. First, make sure to check the availability of your desired domain under User Info & Upgrades > Domains. DO NOT follow the steps to purchase the domain - just send us an email with your available domain name and we'll register it for you.

Your Account Summary: This is a listing of your USERNAME and Web Address URL, as well as your current package, the amount of folder space you are currently using and your expiration date. Also there are blue buttons for when you are ready to renew, or if you want to pay the difference to upgrade to a higher package, which can be done at any time during your subscription. If you upgrade well into your subscription, you will be pro-rated. League users will also find a button to add additional Team Credits to their site at any time as well.

Pending Guestbook Messages: ALL-STAR and CHAMPION users will also have a message under their account summary to any PENDING GUESTBOOK MESSAGES. You can disable the verification process at the bottom of the Guestbook page (Community > Guestbook)

Your Teams & Websites:

Team Users: If you are a single TEAM site, there will be a link for converting to a Multi-Team Account, also known as a LEAGUE site. This is for any situation where you need to display information for more than one team, such as age groups, boys/girls teams, or if you just want to add the other teams in your League to your site. This button is for a FREE conversion with 4 Team Credits. You can purchase more credits in your Account Summary, if necessary. Converting to a League will increase your subscription cost. For information on League pricing, go to the League Pricing link at the top of the www.HomeTeamsONLINE.com Home Page.

League Users: This is a summary of the teams in your site. On the top left is a link to your Structure, which is used for adding teams and separating your teams by division or subdivisions. If you need to change the order of your divisions, contact Support. The Info-Website button is used to change team names, link a NON-HTO site remotely, or CREATE A FREE ROOKIE SITE FOR A TEAM that will be linked directly to the information for that team. The team name in the homepage Standings will be a link to the teams page, whether it is a linked HTO site or a non-HTO site linked remotely. If you have created a free ROOKIE site for your team, the "Info-Website" button will turn into a LOGIN button to login to the team Admin site. The option for changing a team name will then move to User Info & Upgrades > Team Info/Season on the team Admin site.

Sports Ramble: This is for communication between the Users. We often check the Sports Ramble and post comments and helpful notes. For a direct question, contact HTO Support directly. Make sure to Keep It Clean! Inappropriate messages will be removed.

At the bottom of your page is a link to remove your site. Keep in mind that sites removed in this way cannot be recovered.

NAVIGATION MENUS

  • Your website features are accessed using the navigation menus listed along the top of the pages, just below the HomeTeamsONLINE logo. They are grouped by category, and you will see a "pop-up" style navigation menu when you hold your mouse over a main category.
     
  • Main Pages: These are your basic Admin and Directory pages, as well as a quick link to your actual visitor site. Also, links to Help Menus, the Contact Form to contact Suppor,t or just to log out of your Admin site.
     
  • Schedule & Roster: This is where you can set up your Schedule, add Locations for easy entry when adding games, add players to the Roster, create a list of your Coaches and Staff, add Tournament brackets, or try our free Scheduler program for assistance in creating a schedule.
     
  • Schedule, Roster & Teams > League users also have a link to edit their League Structure in the Schedule & Roster section.
     
  • Page Editors: This is where you'll create your Home Page, list information about your Team/League/Org on the About page, add News articles to your Home Page and/or the News section, create some Sponsored links in the Links page, list Records, Achievements and Awards, and edit any custom pages you've added to your Navigation Links.
     
  • Layout and Media: This is for editing the layout and look of your pages. Here, you can change the Color scheme, add a Flash Banner to display your Team/League name, add a Logo, modify the Navigation Links, create a Photo Gallery, and upload files into your database for inserting into your text areas. There is also a Refresh Layout option which resets your site's cache, but your data should update instantly and automatically without this option.
     
  • Advanced Features: This is for your Bulletin Board to post announcements, the Guestbook to view and verify messages posted by viewers, Sponsors to highlight any sponsors of your team, the Advanced Sponsors feature to highlight your sponsors on each of your pages, and the Online Store for viewers to make purchases online. Also in this section are your Contact Lists for your reference, and the Email and Phone tools for communication. Lastly, there is an option for printing Info Cards about your Team or League.
     
  • User info & Upgrades: This is used for entering your Contact Info, or to change information about your Team or League, such as the Team Name, Location information, or changing the Season. You can also change your Administrator Password and add or change a Visitor Password to protect the information on your site. You can also upgrade or purchase Additional Space, or use our Domain feature to register or check the availability of a domain, or forward a domain purchased through HTOdomains to your site.
     
  • You can see all the same listed menus if you go to the Admin Directory page if you are having trouble locating something, or if you are not seeing the pop-up menus appear when you mouse over an item.
