Click add new location and give it a name. A name on its own is enough to start using it on the schedule.

Fill in the rest when you know it. Nothing here has to be complete before you can schedule against it.

Open Courts in the dialog if the venue has more than one playing area. The heading is named for your sport, so you will see Courts, Fields, Rinks and so on.

Two ways to fill it. Pick a number from autofill and they are numbered for you, or type the names one per line if they have real names. A gym with Red, White and Blue courts is far easier for a visiting parent than Court 1, 2 and 3.

You can also leave this empty. If your sport just uses whichever court is free, there is no reason to track the playing area in detail.

Enter the street address and the venue links to a mapping service automatically, so a parent can tap the game and get driving directions.

Directions/Notes is the free text field for everything the address cannot say. Which entrance to use, where to park, when the doors open, which floor the upper courts are on.

This is the single highest-value field on the page for the people attending, and the one most often left blank.

On a larger organization the list is grouped by source, so you can see what you own and what you are borrowing.

• Locations from Linked Sites and Shared Pool Locations come in from sites connected to yours.
• Locations Managed by the League are the league's, and the league maintains them.
• Locations Entered on Team Sites were added by an individual team.

Each entry carries a map link once it has an address, wherever it came from.

The same venue often gets entered twice under slightly different names. Rather than delete one and repoint the games by hand, merge them.

Open one of the locations and choose merge, then pick the one to merge it with. The option appears once you have more than one location, and it is not offered on a team's own locations.

It compares the two and keeps whichever has real information, preferring a filled field over a blank one. Where both hold something and they disagree, it keeps both so you can tidy up afterwards.

Every game already pointing at the old location is repointed to the merged one, so nothing on the schedule breaks.

Locations are not pushed down from the organization to the sports or teams underneath it.

To enter locations for a particular sport or team, click your organization name at the top centre and pick that sport or team first, then add them there.
