Website (Visitor) Password

Set a Website Password that visitors must enter before they can see the content of your website.

(1) ALL PAGES

Entering a password here means that your entire website will be password protected. Anyone pulling up your website will need to enter a password to view any of the content.

 

To activate:

  1.  Click the yellow change button. Enter the Password you want to set and Confirm.
  2. Click save.

To turn off:

  1. Click the yellow change button.
  2. Click save.

Tip:

Click Set Password Protection OFF for a SPECIFIC page to turn off the protection for pages you want anyone to view. Click again to make more pages visible.

(2) SPECIFIC PAGES

Use to set passwords only for specific pages:

  1. Click Add Special Security to a new page. In the popup, use the dropdown to select the page.
  2. Click to select a group that you'd like to add special access for. Tip: select Other to keep things easy!
  3. In the ACCESS GROUPS section, enter a Password and Confirm the password you'd like to set.
(3) ACCESS GROUPS
This section appears when the system recognizes that you're applying passwords to only specific pages. See step 3 under SPECIFIC PAGES.
Password Requests
When password protection has been activated, visitors see a field to enter the password and a link they can click to request the password.  Requests are forwarded to the owner's email address.
Protection Details
  • Protecting the Roster also protects the Player Profile
  • Protecting News also protects News Categories and News Articles
  • Protecting Photo Gallery also protects Photo Categories and Photo Details
  • Protecting Guestbook also protects Guestbook Input
  • Protecting Stats also protects all "back door" means of accessing statistics
