You can add music with any upgraded site. You can insert music into your Home Page or any page on your site with a text area like a Player Profile or Game Summary. ALL-STAR offers a music player on the Home Page. This music can also be customized to play throughout the site. You can also embed music players from any music site on the web.

 

 

ACCEPTED FORMATS
Only .MP3 audio files will work within our text areas and the Music Player.

We recommend that you download the latest ITunes music player, as this is a great free tool for managing and converting your music, and also a place where you can purchase music files. HomeTeamsONLINE is not affiliated with Apple or ITunes. We recommend this tool because it is popular and free.

CONVERTING AN AUDIO FILE TO .MP3 FORMAT

 

Open iTunes

Go to Edit > Preferences in the menu bar

Under the General tab, click the Import Settings button

“Import Using:” should be set to MP3 Encoder

Choose Custom for the “Setting:”

Change the Stereo Bit Rate to 80 kbps or less.

There are other options here. We recommend leaving the default.

Choose OK, OK, OK to close the windows.

Now, just right click any song and choose “Create MP3 Version”.

You can also go to Advanced > Create MP3 Version

The new song will appear right next to the original in your “Music” library, or in the Recently Added section.

MULTIPLE SONG PLAYERS

 

The default player only plays one file, but to add a set of mp3's you can go to websites like www.MixPod.com, build your playlist, then follow the directions for sharing it to get the HTML EMBED code for your website.
 
Once you have copied the code, log into your administrator page, go up to the Page Editors > Home Page. After the page loads go a Text area and click the 'edit' link to open the Edit Text window. Press the Paste Code (or plain text) button in the toolbar for a pop-up where you can paste your code, insert and Save.
 
Don't forget to remove the old music player by going up and un-checking the Music Player module, then clicking the Update Module Selections button to confirm. You can clear up some space by going to Layout & Media > File Manager to delete the homeMusic.mp3 file.
 
Now you should have only your new playlist player on your website.
 

 

Making my Music Play on Every Page

 

You can do this if you are an All-Star or Champion user with a domain name.

 

Home Page music: First upload your MP3 in the Home Page Music Player module. Then press HIDE to hide it. Contact Support to create a frame so the song will play on every page.

 

Embedded Music Player: Embed your player in a new Custom Page called "Music". Then contact Support to have this music play on every page. Note hat visitor will not see the music to pause or stop it.

 

Note that either option only works when using the domain to access your Home Page.
