The Schedule Wizard is an automated tool - be sure to review the output to make sure it meets your needs before importing your schedule.
The Scheduling Wizard uses a proprietary optimization method that distributes games so that teams are treated as equally as possible. Please keep in mind that the mathematics of generating schedules is very complex, and requires an iterative process to find the best possible schedule within the constraints: the more teams, time slots, and fields that you input, the more difficult it is to get a evenly distributed result.
It takes some experience and different techniques for setting up an ideal schedule. It is often necessary to split the schedule into smaller groups or pools, and usually if you have an odd number of teams you will want to add a "bye" team to balance the calculations. Simplify your input for the calculated schedule and manually edit for special situations later.
| Downloading and Reviewing the Calculated Schedule? |
| Once you get a result you still have to review it. You can click the "Download" link to save and edit into an Excel spreadsheet. You can then move match-ups around to different dates to plan double headers, or conversely to avoid back-to-back games. We also recommend you have all the Team Coaches review their part of the schedule for any issues they may have so they can request adjustments.

| What is the Quality Factor? |
|
Scheduling is a complex problem, and our Scheduler uses a unique calculation method to get a result you can use as a starting point. You may notice your result has a "Quality Factor" listed at the top of the page. You may want to hit the "Re-create" button to see if you can get a better Quality Factor. If you are not able to get a good quality factor, you may want to try simplifying your inputs, or break up the schedule into smaller parts.
|
| How do I account for Byes? |
| Whenever you have an odd number of teams, one team will not have an opponent during a round. For best results, add an extra team called "BYE" to account for the teams sitting out each round. You can delete the "bye" games from your completed schedule. |
| What If i have multiple games at the same time? |
| Enter one time slot for each day on the first page. On the second page, you can assign up to four games per time slot.
|
| What if I have more than 4 games at the same time? |
| For more than 4, you'll have to choose two time slots a day on page 1, which will allow up to eight games. You'll have to assign both time slots at the same time.
- there may be some teams assigned to play games at the same time. You'll have to download the schedule into Excel on the last page, and move some games around in Excel. |
| What If I have a different number of games on different days of the week? |
| Enter 1 time slot for each day on the first page. On the second page, you can assign 1-4 games each time slot (day).
- If these games are at different times, you'll just have to edit that later, either in Excel after downloading, or on your Admin Schedule Page after importing your schedule into a website. |
| What if I have more than 4 games on some days? |
| For more than 4, you'll have to choose 2 time slots a day on page 1, which will allow up to 8 games per day.
-You can choose 0 games for "time slot 2" if there are under 4 on some days. -If the games are at the same time, or you just don't want any teams playing more than one game on the same day, you'll have to download the schedule into Excel on the last page, and move some games around in Excel. |
| I have more than one game a day, but don't want any team playing more than once a day. |
| Enter one time slot for each day on the first page instead of multiple time slots. On the second page, you can assign up to four games per time slot. This will ensure no team plays a back to back game.
|
| How do I skip certain times like Holidays and breaks? |
| You'll have to download the schedule on the last page and move the weeks around in Excel to finalize your schedule. You can simply move these games out of that day/week and add them to an additional week at the end of your schedule.
- If you import your schedule by creating a new website, and just edit the games on these days and move them to a new date, at the end of your schedule. This will be easy if there are only a few games that need to be moved. |
| how do I account for Double Headers? |
| To account for double headers, you can create your schedule normally, and just create a duplicate game immediately after the first (Either in Excel after downloading or in your Admin Schedule Page after importing into a new website).
- Another option is to download the schedule into Excel on the last page. In Excel, pull a game with the two double header teams out of the schedule and place it next to a game with the same teams, creating a double header on that day. To fill the spot in your schedule where you pulled the game from, you can take the last game in your schedule and move it to that spot to preserve the structure. (On page 1, you must assign that each team will play each other at least twice in order to have two games where the same teams play each other). |
| What if my entire schedule is double headers? |
| The easiest way is to create a normal schedule where each double header is one game, and then simply duplicate every game, either in Excel after downloading or or in your Admin Schedule Page after importing into a new website.

| Uploading your Schedule |
