Options: Slideshow

Use Slideshow modules to display images from any album.

Slideshow Module Options
  •  Choose Album: Select an Album name from the dropdown. Note: you must first create a Photo Album to set up a slide show. The first 10 images from the album will be displayed. Contact Support if you'd like this number increased.

Slide Show Dimensions

  • Orientation: for the best results, put images with the same orientation in the same album.
  • Aspect Ratio: set the proportion of the height to width of your images. For example, a large number of common cameras* are 4:3 which is the default, or in other words, one side is 25% smaller.
    *Typical aspect ratios for popular brands (refer to your camera manual for accurate specs);
3:2 - Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony, and Sigma DSLRs

4:3 - Panasonic, Olympus, and iPhones

  • Override Height: fine tune your slide show if needed. Note that the width is calculated using the orientation and aspect ratio. If using this feature causes your Slide Show height to be bigger than your pictures, leave this setting blank and save to fix this issue.

Transition: control how many seconds images display.

Display Options: disable controls from visitors.

Captions

Hide Captions: Note that if you have not entered a caption, the caption area will auto-hide. You can also hide ALL captions with this setting if you prefer to show only the image.

  • Note: to add a clickable caption go to Layout & Media > Photo Gallery. Copy, paste, and update the red text in the following code into the Caption field for the image:

<a href="http://www.WebsiteURL.com">Text You Want To Appear</a>

Standard Module Options

Standard Module Options

Click the wrench icon in the corner of a module to open the Options settings.

The standard Options for the modules on the Home page are:

Settings

The settings that are specific to the module you're working with are usually listed here (like that zip code for the Weather module).

  • Title: Enter a custom title. Keep in mind that Titles must be unique!
  • Title Style:
    • main displays a large title with the chosen font choices
    • basic displays a small title with a plain font
    • none no title displays
  • Show on: by default, all modules display on both desktop computers & mobile devices. Control if a module displays on Desktop Only, Mobile Only, or set to Hide.
Style
  • Background Color, Text Color, & Link Color: override the color settings that were applied on the Styles page for just this module
  • Text Size: control the size of the text in just this module
  • Module XoomFX: select an animation style for this module
  • Apply XoomFX: drop down to select a specific element to apply the animation to.
Row Image Options
  • Set Row Height based on device: This allows you to set the height for phones, tablets, and computers. You can set one and auto-set the others.
  • Disable Hero Header Detection: This overrides the row height for large "hero" image. To use this setting you must apply a picture album for the row and ensure there are no modules.
  • Photo Position: You can adjust the position of your photos to match your image.
TIP: One technique is to keep your main image to the left, so on smaller devices it remains left and only crops "filler" part of the image on the right.
Delete

Click the delete settings & content button to permanently delete the module AND it's contents.

If you use this function, you may want to add a different module in the now empty grid area.  Click the purple view button to check the layout of your Home page.

(You can also drag modules to the MODULES holding area found on the left under Website > Home Page > X-Grid to deactivate the module & retain the settings & content for future use.)

Some modules may have have additional Options available.  Be sure to click save to make your changes live!
