Username Based Account (Legacy)

HTO Network requires each user to have their own personal email login.

Setting Up Your Personal Email Login

Click the appropriate link to get started - either 1. if you see your email, or 2. if it is not listed:

This will take you a sign up process to create a new email-based login:

- If your email was not listed, first enter the email address you want to use for your account.
- Enter your name, and make a new password.
- An email will be sent to verify it is your address.

- Click the link in the email, and re-enter you password for security
You will now be logged into your account, with the new features activated!

You will be linked in the role of Webmaster, which provides access to all the same features you were using before. If your email was listed, your role will also include a "key" for owner, billing contact, and/or primary contact. (Go to the People & Roles feature for details about "key" roles)

NOTE: If you use the second choice (email not listed) you can enter an email that you already used for a different sports HQ. Your email login will be detected and your account will also be linked to the sports HQ you are currently logged into.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Why do I have to change my login information?
A. In order to allow users to setup a personal network, each user must have their own login ID. Users will now log into HomeTeamsONLINE as an individual person. Sites will no longer have a login ID, instead people will login as themselves, and then they will be given access to a site.

Q. Should I create a separate email login for each sports HQ.
A. No! You can (and should) manage all your sports HQ from one personal email based account! Your personal account is not shared, and your information is not given to the users of different sports HQs. For example, if you want to create a new HQ to use for your business, this is NOT shown to the people using your team site. There is no reason to share your email login with anybody.

Q. There are several links: which link do I use to set up my personal login?
A. If you see an email listed that you are actively using, you should click it. As long as your have access to the email this is the best option, even if you wish to change to a new one later.  This way you will be identified as a "key" person (the owner, billing, and/or primary contact.) Otherwise, use the second choice and enter a new email.

Q. What does "email based" mean?
A. Very simply, your personal ID will be your email address. There is no need to create a special login ID that you need to remember. This also allows the use of your email for security purposes: changes to your account will be verified by sending you an email. Many sites use this type of verification - it is a simple yet effective method for keeping your account secure.

Q. What is the "legacy" login system?
A. This is the system where each "site" has a login, instead of each person. We wanted to be sure our current users could continue without having to worry about their account. We know our users are busy with upcoming games and events! So we provided a grace period to allow our customers to upgrade at a convenient time.

Q. How long will you maintain the "legacy" system?
A. The specific date when we will discontinue it will be announced, but it has not been determined yet. We recommend you upgrade your account as soon as you can, so you can enjoy the new features!

Q. I have many people using my site, and they login with the "legacy" username and password. What do I do?
A. Once you establish your personal email login, you will have access to the HTO Network features if you were the webmaster or billing contact listed previously. You can invite the people who use your network by going to HTO Network and adding them - really all you need is their email, and you can send an invite. If they respond to the invitation email, they can create their personal account in seconds, and they will automatically be added to your network!

Q. Should I delete the "legacy" login?
A. Yes! Once you create your personal login, and once any people that work on your site accept the invites you send to their email address, you will want to click the message and remove the "legacy" login. We will keep a prompt on your HQ whenever you login in to remind you! Simply click the prompt and click to remove it, it only takes a second.
