Use the Nav Layout Page to:

• Expand the links in your site by activating Header, Footer, Inset and/or Side Navigation Links
• Customize the Style settings of your Navigation Links
• Activate side areas (which will appear on every page of your site)

Tip: click the blue Activating Areas and Editing Areas & Links links on the far left of the page for more detailed information.

 

Activate Header, Footer, Inset- and/or Side- Navigation Links

Click the >>Activate link to expand the locations and links that appear on your site.  Note that Header and Footer link styles are defined by the Style template you have chosen.  Header and Footer styles can be changed by contacting support.

 

Customize the Style (or look) of your Navigation Links

To customize the style of the navigation links, click the styles link above that section.

 

In the popup, use the Pick a Standard Style dropdown to select from preset styles.  The window below displays a preview of how your selections will appear on your website.

 

NOTE: Special effects such as gradient backgrounds and transparencies will not always display on the Nav Layout page. Click Save and use the View Website button to see how your changes look on your Visitor's website.

 

Tip: You can also pick a Navigation style under Layout & Media > Styles. In the green section on the far right, select Keep Locked for all elements except Nav, and browse through the styles. Customizing your Navigation Link Style is advanced. Contact Support if you need assistance.

 

Access and edit your Navigation Links

To access and edit your links, click edit above the section you wish to update. 

 

In the popup, make the desired changes and click Save. Not that this popup is identical to the tools available at Layout & Media > Navigation Links.  For more details, see the Navigation Links Help.

 

Activate Side Areas like Side-Text and Side-Logo

You may need to click Show Side-Column to activate the list of options that are available. When activated, the content in the side areas will display on every page of your website.
