2025/2026
NCJHL Playoffs
With a first round elimination, another NCJHL season is over for your Castors. But what a season it was! Many new faces on the ice and on the bench, new friendships made, challenges met and accomplishments celebrated.
Thank you to all of our fans that continued to show up for the Castors! Thank you to all of our players that continued to push for success! Thank you to all of our staff that continue to support our vision! And finally, thank you to all of our sponsors - your patronage is invaluable ![]()
This year’s graduates are #14 Riley WEBB (3 seasons), #18 Liam KIRBY (3 seasons), #17 Jaren RUPERTHOUSE (2 seasons), #19 Andrew BACCARDAX (2 seasons) and #55 Shane MOODIE (2 seasons). As we say goodbye, we wish them all the best in the future and hope they will drop by next season to cheer on the new crop of rookies!

WELCOME to the
CUMBERLAND CASTORS
Junior Hockey Club
WHO we are and WHY we do this?
We are small group of non-parent volunteers that have been involved with Junior hockey in various roles for almost two decades. The reason is simple – we are passionate about hockey! We hope to provide a place for local players to play high-calibre hockey without the time commitment required by the higher junior levels (including the travel involved).
If you take a quick look through our current and past players, you will see that most of them played at a competitive level throughout their minor hockey years. For whatever reason, be it post-secondary education or full-time employment, when they age out of minor hockey, many players choose not to pursue higher levels of junior hockey.
Our Junior C team provides a place for players to continue playing high-calibre competitive hockey, but with one weekday evening practice per week and 1-2 games, almost always on weekends. Our program allows players to stay active, develop new friendships and continue with the sport they love. From time to time we get scouts pop up at our games – for those at the top of their game, there are often opportunities for affiliation with higher junior level teams.
Why we charge admission?
We charge a small admission to our games mainly to cover the ever-rising cost of ice rental and referee payment (four-officials system). Any additional funds that we are able to secure go right back to the team (e.g. skate sharpening, equipment repair, etc.).
We appreciate everyone’s support however big or small.
Come out to our games to support the boys!
(our usual home game time is 7:30 pm on most Sundays)
GO Castors GO!!!
