(6/25) I heard about our tough start Sunday, but then how we came back to play a solid 2nd game. Way to stay in it and get a split, fellas. For anyone that has NOT given me a completed contract, download and print yourself out a copy and get it to me when I get back in a week or so. I need to have all of them to turn in ASAP! Also, just like Chris said, we need more TEAM (situational) & INDIVIDUAL (technique) defensive work, so everyone needs to do everything they can to make it to practices Wednesdays and Saturdays, which have been at the same time and place for the last month or so. As of now, we are a solid, but just an average/mediocre group of individual baseball players...given some practices with most of our players together on the field, I know we could improve our overall skill level and team chemistry, which would inevitably lead to better play on Sundays and MORE WINS! Primarily, though, I'm just looking to get ourselves more geared up for when the playoffs roll around so we'll be a machine to reckon with! Remember, a team is like a chain...it's only as strong as its weakest link. ~Randy (6/11) Hey I got all the stats updated from the past two games with the Red Sox. I just want to say good job on last weekend, but we all need to work on our defense and making the routine plays. It seems we are all batting pretty well, so lets keep up the good work. Look forward to these upcoming games and prepare yourselves as needed for a tuff team. Everyone should try and make it to practice on both Wednesday and Saturday because we need the defensive work. Hope to see you all out there!
(6/20) Hey everyone, just letting everyone know we have practice on Saturday June 23 at 10:00 AM at Norview High School. Everyone........please try and make it. We really need to work on our defense and also a little bit on our situations. Also I have been checking the message boards regularly and found that a team from SVABL (or whatever the league is) is trying to scrimidge a team from our league. They play in a wooden bat league and I think it would be great practice for all of us to go out and play a game with wood instead of aluminum. Let me know if you can play a game on a weeknight, probably like a Wednesday night around 6. Please let me know if you can do this ASAP at c.l.williford@nsu.edu.
ps~check out this training tool, never heard of it before, sounds like it could be useful though! :) Looks like a basic floppy doggie frisbee to me!
This is what I call a nice finish to a nice swing!
