2019 Season Start Date: Monday August 19, 2018
Welcome to the 2019 season! Tryouts will begin Monday August 19 at 9 am and will be at the Jerome Parker Campus football field. Please make sure you have your completed PSAL Medical and PSAL Parental (with all lines initialed and signed) forms in hand. Those who do not bring that paperwork will not be permitted to participate in any team activity until they do. Remember, you need 8 practices before you are permitted to play in a PSAL game. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected]. Have a good summer and we'll see you in a couple of weeks!
Incoming Freshman
Incoming freshman are invited, and highly encouraged to attend the summer practices that will start August 19. The first days location will be at the Jerome Parker Campus at 9 am. All practices will be held at school, except for Sundays, which will be held at Clove Lake Park at 9 am next to the basketbal courts. Any incoming freshman must have a valid PSAL medical and PSAL parental form which can be found on the link section at the top of this page, BEFORE THEY ARE ABLE TO PRACTICE! When having it filled out, please make sure that both your parent/guardian and the doctor sign the medical, along with having a valid registry number and a stamp from the doctor. Anyone who shows up without both forms filled out completely will not be able to physically participate until they do. NO EXCEPTIONS!!
Equipment Requirements For Every Practice
Please be sure to bring running shoes, cleats, shin gaurds and plenty of water to every single practice.
New Requirement- You will also be required to bring a ball. It must be a size 5.
Please see the picture below with the new shin gaurd label that must be embossed on the front of the shin guard. (It is not allowed to be on a tag that is on the back)
All shin guards must be for the correct height of the person wearing them. As the label above lists, they are for a person who is between 5ft 3in to 5ft 9in.
You will notice in the picture below, that the stamp on this particular shin guard is on the upper left-hand side of the picture. (We are not suggesting you purchase these particular shin guards, this is just an example of what the stamp looks like and where it is located)
This is a requirement from the PSAL and the referees check these beore every game. Those who fail to have the correct shin guards, will not be permitted to play.
