The Indianapolis Stampede closed its doors for the second time for good. Team owner and head coach KC Carter
called the League Commissioner Brandy Bold around 8:00 pm last night to inform her of the teams decision to shut down.
Carter told the league that although he and his staff have seen 30 players come in and out of practice, that
it wasn't a consistent number of players showing up for practice to continue investing in the team. Carter stated that he
feel's bad for some of is guys that did show up to practice on a regular basis and for those five or six players he would try to
find them a place to play, and hopefully they will get a fair opportunity to participate with their new team. Carter goes on to
say that he hopes that his two coaches find a landing spot with other team as well. Carter has reached out to the Indiana
Assassin's and look to reach out to other local teams soon in behalf of his players and staff.
The Indianapolis Stampede would like to say thank you to the GMFL for giving us another opportunity to get our team
off the ground and running. The stampede also would like to say big thank you to the River City Rampage for the controlled
scrimmage and the good fellowship afterwards at the pizza dinner. We wish the GMFL and all its teams a
"GREAT and BLESS SEASON"!!
