The 2025 KBA Opening day is April 27th. Schedule should be completed in a couple weeks. We have partnered with the MSL to provide more baseball, different levels, and more opportunity for playing baseball. We are still looking for players at any skill level for this league and the MSL. If you want to play, we will find you a team.

KBA Grillers Walk-Off In Nail-Biter Against W Sox

KBA Grillers took Sunday's game in dramatic fashion, with an 8-7 walk-off victory over W Sox. The game was tied at seven in the bottom of the seventh when Nicholas Chi was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.
Dylan Elazegui drove in four runners in the win. They went 1-3 on the day. KBA Grillers got on the board in the bottom of the third inning after W Sox dropped a third strike, and Dylan Elazegui walked, each scoring one run.
In the top of the fourth inning, W Sox went back into the lead after #23 homered to center field, #30 singled, KBA Grillers committed an error, and KBA Grillers committed an error, each scoring one run.
KBA Grillers tied the game in the bottom of the fifth thanks to a ground out by Sean Kim, and a home run to right field by Dylan Elazegui.
A sacrifice fly by #36 gave W Sox the lead, 7-6, in the top of the sixth.
Seung Yoo hit a sacrifice fly, which helped KBA Grillers tie the game at seven in the bottom of the sixth.
Dylan Elazegui started on the hill for KBA Grillers. They surrendered four hits and four runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking two. #28 led things off on the mound for W Sox. They surrendered one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking one. Sean Kim appeared in relief for KBA Grillers.
Leadoff hitter Benny Wang led KBA Grillers with two hits in three at bats. KBA Grillers had patience at the plate, amassing nine walks for the game. David Wang and Jeff Schams led the team with two free passes each. Benny Wang stole two bases. KBA Grillers ran wild on the base paths, collecting six stolen bases for the game. KBA Grillers turned one double play in the game.
#23, #28, and #9 each collected two hits for W Sox. #30 led W Sox with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-3 on the day.

In 2025, Chicago will be taking a baseball team to the Korean Sports Festival ((( aka Korean Olympics or KO )))
The host city has yet to be determined where sports such as Badminton, soccer, baseball, basketball, bowling, and many more sport teams all come together to celebrate sportsmanship, Korean heritage, and meeting new friends from all over the country. More details to come.
The 2024 KBA Opening day is Sunday April 7th.
Rain make up dates are April 14th and April 21st due to field availability if opening day is rained out.
Another make up date due to rain outs is Sunday May 26th, Memorial Weeked.
If there are no other make up games at the end of the season, the Playoffs will be on Aug. 11th.
Aug. 18th is the rain out date for Playoffs

Interesting Matchups for this Sunday 07.28.24
If the Grillers win vs the Cubs, the Grillers will have the tie breaker vs the Cubs.
If the WhiteSox win their remaining 4 games they still have a chance to receive the #1 seed, but will need the Grillers to lose 2 of their 3 remaining games and the Cubs to lose 1 of their 2 remaining games.
The A's have two opportunities this weekend to thwart a White Sox chance to get the #1 seed.
The Grillers have a chance to lock up the #1 seed, if they beat the Cubs and the White Sox lose this weekend.

3 teams.... Least Total Runs Allowed Season,if still ited, then the highest allowed runs vs non tied team, will be highest seed of the 3 teams, the remaning 2 teams tied will follow the tie breaker rule above for 2 teams tied.

The 2024 Season will have a new team. Manager Vinny Paz will have his KBA Athletics join our league. We Welcome him and his players for the 2024 Season!!! Preparations are underway with scheduling, obtaining fields, baseballs, umpires and various items to have Opening Day in earlier April 2024.

Congratulations to the KBA Grillers for winning the 2023 League Championship!!
The Grillers Joined the League in 2015 with Josh Son as their inaguaral manager. Seung Yoo was one of the coaches and took over as the G.M. and Manager starting in 2017.
Games are played at Meadow Hill #2.
