Lady Rams honor their Seniors

Jan. 27th: Sunday night's home meet was the second of the season, a shot at moving Mt. Hope to a 1 in the L column and tying the division up but most importantly on the night was that it was Senior Night.

Seniors; Alana Banasiewicz, Katrina Banasiewicz, Madeline Bedard and Mackenzie Moore had the spotlight shine on them as they competed in their last home meet as a Lady Ram gymnast. All competed and helped the team get to a second place finish overall in the 4 squad competition.   After the meet was completed junior class teammates gave speeches honoring each of the girls individually as they received their senior gifts.

Coach Ananda thanked the girls for their dedication, team spirit and hard work over their 4 years as Varsity club members. She especially pointed out that what was unique about this senior squad is that they were no longer competing in outside club gymnastics during their 4 years but kept up their skills despite the challenge in doing that and always contributed to the Rams success over the years.  It is no easy task to maintain and compete in a varsity sport all 4 years in high school but they did it and they always set an example of what it means to be a Ram gymnast.

From us fans to you girls we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors and good luck the rest of the season.

The squad moves to a 6-2 record on the season and prepares for their next meet this coming Supebowl weekend (no worries, nothing on Sunday :)) when they step onto Mt. Hope's mat in a once again aim at placing a 1 in the L column.

Let's go Rams!!!

PS: Photos from senior night and senior night ceremony will have an album posted to the site and on the team Flickr page (accessible from link above) by end of this week.
