PHPL 2022 Season Information

Welcome to the newly formed Pleasant Hill Passing League!

Justin Hughes, Owner of the wildly successful Lamorinda Passing League and Travis Raciti, Current Head VarsityFootball Coach for College Park High School, have teamed up to bring our own unique brand of Flag Football to the Pleasant Hill Community. Pleasant Hill Passing League will put emphasis on learning, development, and fun while still creating a competitive environment. PHPL will be able to spread the fun of football without many of the risks that come with playing regular football at a young age. Since we are a passing league there will be no offensive line, no down field blocking, and contact will be minimal as players learn how to run routes, proper footwork and technique as a QB and DB, along with how to play different defensive coverages. We believe that this format will be beneficial to both the players and the community as we look to build a love for the game in a safe way amongst our kids.

Coached by football players and coaches from College Park High School, the emphasis is on instruction and competition, without the need to focus on winning at all costs. Teams are formed to be as equitable as possible so all the games are as competitive as possible. Small rosters (no more than 10 per team) and affordable price, ensure that the league is available to all kids in the community who wish to play and that playing time won’t be an issue for those in the league. PHPL does not keep records and does not hold playoffs in order to allow the kids to focus on what matters most, playing football. We do however keep score for each game to provide a competitive atmosphere. Not to mention our awesome college style jerseys with the players last names on the back.
