Loss 21-5, Loss 6-2, conceded loss 7-0, Loss 9-4

Wasn't or our best showing, but we finished good, for the most part, minus 2 innings, the first of game 1 and the 1st of game 3, both with and auto out, our D was great, better then our season average, it was a great final game against the nWo team. Thank you everyone for playing all these years, much appreciated.

weekend MVP's were: Lippe (awesome at 3B) & Danica (couple catches), Erik (late HR) & Kim (solid at 3B), Bob (good game at 1B) & Jess (good at the plate)

Game 35, Wed Aug 15, 7:45 vs Here Comes the Runs

Embarassed to be a ReachAround, Loss 28ish to 5, lost count after 21, the embarassment is how we react to teams, rather than play our own game. More details to come.

MVP's are Andy & Chantel

Game 34, Wed Aug 15, 6:30 vs Stiff Gitch

Loss 5-3, back to back 5-3 losses...the worst is yet to come, more details to come.

MVP's are Chris & Katie

Game 33, Wed Aug 8, 7:45 vs Dawgs

Loss 5-3, Dirty damn Dawgs, we can't seem to beat them, both games this season have been close, June 20 was an 11-6 loss, this game we lead 3rd inning, 3-1...but they chipped away and chipped away, scoring 1 in the 3rd, 4th, to tie it and 2 in the 6th, we stranding so many on base hard to keep count, Trevor was really good at R making 3 catches, Danica was good in RF making a couple, Brad was outstanding at SS, him and Kelsey clicked well, lots of nice plays, 4 strikeouts at the plate this game and no hits with runners in scoring position, Lippe pitched a beauty of a game.

MVP's are Trevor and Danica both with catches, decent at the plate.

Game 32, Wed Aug 8, 6:30 vs Gun Club

Loss 15-7, We were'nt very good this game, Bob struglled pitching, Guns hit the ball hard and often, was close early, 5-5 after 2 or 3 innings, they kept scoting, we couldn't keep up, lots of pop ups, Gun's pitcher was a tricky one. Kim was awesome at 1B, she's a great game general there, Brad was off at SS but hit his now Franchise leading 32nd HR passing Dan Ass, Lippe also had a HR and went 3/4. overall, bounces went one way...not the ReachAround way.

MVP's are Lippe with a HR and Kim great at 1B.

Game 31, Wed Aug 1, 7:45 vs Sons of Pitches

Tie 9-9, Lippe pitched a great game, we led most of the way but couldn't hold on. Bob was good at 3rd, Danica made a couple nice catches. Andy made a few catches in LF, Prancer was good in CF, Kelsey hit the ball hard today, this was a well played day for us. top 7th, we were up by 3 and Andy crushes a ball, LF, over the LF head, he's running back sideways, leaps & catches, 2 runners on 2 outs thats a 3 run catch for sure, we would have been up by 6 with Kelsey and Lippe up...then they scored 3 in the bottom to tie. Overall I'm really proud of our 2 games, thanks Chris and Prancer for coming out. MVP's are Bob & Danica

Game 30, Wed Aug 1, 6:30 vs Who's on First

Won 21-6, Bob pitched good, Lippe had 3-2B, Kelsey was 4/4, solid at 2B. Danica and Chantal each had a 3B, Andy had his team leading 8th HR, as always kim was awesome at 1B. Chris was great at SS many good plays. We scored 7 in each of the first 2 innings, Chantel ended both innings as 10th batter, 1 with a single scoring bob, the other a 3B scoring 2 runs, superb. Lippe was bored at SS, Kelsey and Kim clicked Trevor made a nice catch in RF, Prancer was comical in CF, we had a lot of fun this game. MVP's are Chris & Chantel

Game 29, Wed Jul 25, 7:45 vs Here Comes the Runs

Loss 19-12, were losing 18-0, so at least we finished this game the right way. down 18-0, D-bag tries to turn a single into a double...now we're fired up, we drop a 5 on them in the 4th, 2 in the 5th, 5 more in the 6th now only down 19-12 but game called due to darkness...they weren't too chirpy to end this one, we see them in our season finale. John was 4/4 with 2-2B scoring 3, Trevor, Erik and Andy each had a 3B, Erik scored 2.

MVP's are Andy & Danica.

Game 28, Wed Jul 25, 6:30 vs Stiff Gitch

Loss 4-3, Bob pitched, stuck out 3, gave up only 4 runs, had a bases loaded none out situation, K, pop up, ground out no runs, in the end we only scored 3. Bob and Mike were 3/3, Erik was 2/3, rest of the team each had 1 hit, only 1 extra base (3B Mike) all game, runners left on pretty much each inning, 1 more hit in the game wins for us. Lippe made a few nice catches in CF, Chantel caught a foul ball out and we threw a runner out. MVP's are Bob & Chantel who also scored a run.

Game 20, Wed Jul 11, 7:45 vs Black & White Express

Brad, Bob & Trevor all hit .1000, Brad also had a 3B, Danica had 2-2B, as a team we walked 6 times to some suspect early pitching, Lippe K'd 2, Chantel and Jess both went 2/3. Chris and Erik each went 3/4, This game was never in doubt, we batted 10 in the 3rd, scoring 9 runs. The D was great for much of the game, holding them to singles and doubles all game. Chris and Jess eached scored 2, had a 7 run lead with their last bat, held on for the 2 run victory...D was there when we needed it.

MVP's are Lippe who played in LF, RF, SS and I think R & Kelsey who was great at 2B and started hitting the ball hard again

Game 16, Wed Jun 27, 7:45 vs Sloppy Bunts

Tied 11-11 after 3rd inning...then they hit every ball using the sun to thier advantage and we popped up time and time again, final was 29-12, for the record, this was the ReachAounds 7th worst defeat ever. Outfield played well, all things considered, not many dropped balls, positioning was key, infield struggled, difference is that they hit when they needed, we did not. MVP's are Kim again 4/4 and Lippe 3/4 with a HR and a 2B

Game 15, Wed Jun 27, 6:30 vs Burnt Toast

Losing streak over, kinda, it's like kissing your sister they say. down by 2 in the bottom of the final inning, we scratched out a tie, shoulda could woulda...3 times we had at least 2 on with less than 2 out and couldn't get a hit. oh well. 11-3-1 this season still "looks" sexy. MVP's are Kim who was 4/4 and Jay was 3/3

No Lippe, no Bobb Allen, no drama this game, lol, Andy was 4/4, Bob was 3/3, Andy played 3B injured, Bob pitched ok, Erik ad Andy each scored 2 runs, Danica had her best hitting game in 3 weeks, 3/4 and was pretty good at 1B...Erik was chick burned early for a HR, 3rd loss in a row, 3rd bad week in a row, we still lead the league 11-3. MVP's are Andy and Danica

Game 13, Wed Jun 20, 6:30 vs Dawgs

a decent effort, but still not enough hits, Lippe was a late scratch, Kim stepped in to pitch, once she found her groove, the D didn't help much, 6 different players scored 1 run, Bob, Kim, Chris & Chantel hit 1-2B each, that's it for extra bases, Trevor struggled in RF to start but finished strong, Bob also made a nice catch, Jay was solid in LF, loss 11-6 MVP's are Kim and Chris who was 3/3

Game 12, Wed Jun 13, 7:45 vs Sons of Pitches

If Game 11 was poop, the first 4 innings of this game were pure death, ugh, after 4 innings, we were losing 10-4, every ball off their bat was a hit, but mostly an error on our side, every ground ball skipped, every pop up found grass, we made zero plays. We outscored them 5-0 in the 5th, 6th, 7th but stranded 2 on to end the game, losing 10-9. Bob was 4/4 with 3-2B's, John and Andy each also had a 2B, Kelsey and Kim both went 2/4 scoring each and John and Lippe each scored 2. MVP's are Bob and Danica with a super great catch running backward off their power bat

Game 11, Wed Jun 13, 6:30 vs Who's on First

Bob hit his first HR since May 27, 2015. Danica, Andy and John all made nice catches in the OF. Game 7, Wed May 23, 6:30 vs Bush League
Win #7, a fun game, we started strong and held on, Bush League made it a game in the 4rd and 4th scoring 9 runs, but in the end we held on to the 15-10 win. Lippe and John went 4/4 each, Lippe hit 3-2B's adding 3 K's and the pitching win, Andy had a HR, Andy and Kelsey each went 3/4, Lippe pitched well, Our D bent but didn't break, making the plays when we needed them. Danica made a couple catches at Rover and Chris helped our short lineup. MVP's are Lippe and Danica

Game 6 vs OBI, Sun May 13
Let's call this vendetta game II, OBI also drew attention to our Bryant situation last year, they also bitch and moan about everything we do, it was a pleasure dropping 30 runs on them, Bob was not bad in RF making a couple good catches, John and Scott were really good at 3B and SS, Michelle, injured, played well at 1B, she didn't think so, Dylan batted as 10th batter 3 times this game, he was 5/5 with a HR, Bob was also 5/5, Kelsey 5/6, Lippe and John also hit HR's, if we were not exhausted, we probably hold them under 10 runs, MVP's are Danica with 5 runs and Dylan

Game 5, vs Sage Creek Swingers, Sun May 13:
We thought this might be a bigger test then it was, missing Kim and having an auto out, we didn't miss a beat, winning 18-6, Scottie, Lippe & Dylan were hot, 15/15 at the plate, combining for 8 runs, Kelsey, John and Chantel each had 4 hits, John was awesome at 3B making a number of great plays, Kelsey had 3 runs, MVP's are John and Chantel

Game 3, vs RAW, Sat May 12:
We'll call this the vendetta game, the team that cost us Bryant, got some karma back, we trailed this game 12-5 after the 3rd, but ended up winning 13-12 holding them to zero runs the rest of the way, Kelsey, John, Chris, Danica and Brad were all 4/4,  Danica scored 4 times with 1-2B and 2 important walks, The D was outstanding in the final 3 innings, Brad had the only HR, as a team we had 6 walks and 7  doubles, Brad also scored 3, MVP's are Danica and Chris who was fantastic in LF.

Game 2, vs Sloppy Bunts, Sat May 12:
a rout to continue 2018, 27-6 was the final, we had 40 hits to their 10. Team History

The ReachArounds started in 2009, with most of the first team being from the CanWest company ReachCanada, hence the play on the name, the Original logo was also a play on the ReachCanada logo, replacing the maple leaf with the hand.

Season 1- we went 0-18 in the Regular season, but actually winning 3 games in the tournament and playoffs, going 3-6 final record was 3-24 that year.

Season 2- we started that season quite well, 9-2, but the wins came far less frequently in the final 15 or so games, only winning 5 more, final record was 14-12, we scored 90 more runs while giving up 88 less.

Season 3- we finished with a 9-17-1 record, we did however learn how to score runs this season, scoring 315 runs, but we allowed 356.

Season 4- scoring 447 runs on our way to our best season, finishing with a record of 17-10-2, which could have been much better had we not lost 5 in a row to start the season.

Season 5- Finished 13-12-1, another tough season for players, using 28 players, crazy! If we disreagard the 6 game losing streak from June 9 to July 10, we were actually a 13-6-1 team.

Season 6- we played in the Gina Swanson Memorial Tournament, winning A-Side Finals, going 5-0.  The overall season was 17-13-1, the Mid-Season and Playoffs combined records were 4-3-1, we unfortunately never won a Sunday game.

Season 7- We played in the Gina Swanson Memorial Tournament, winning B-Side Finals, going 3-1, bringing our total record there to 8-1. For the 1st time ever we won 2 tournaments, also taking Div 4A finals. including the Mid Season Tournament, we finished 12-2 in tournament play in 2015.

Season 8- We again played in the Gina Swanson Memorial Tournament, winning A-Side Finals, going 4-0, bringing our 3 year record there to 12-1. Our most successful winning % season ever, 24-7 scoring 426 runs coming just 21 runs shy of the record. We only allowed 259 runs against shattering the old record of 283

Season 9, We again played in the Gina Swanson Memorial Tournament this time going 2-2 not placing, we say goodbye to Jim & Summer, and See Ya to Dan, and hello to Bryant, as well, Debbie and Diane have agreed to full time...we joined a new league this season, Maple Leaf Mixed Slo Pitch League, our 2nd straight 24 win season, going 24-8-2, we are 48-15-2 in our last 2 years, this season we scored 494 runs, 171 doubles, 45 triples and 37 HR's, 6 from Kelsey and Kim..We ended the payoffs going 6-0 playing with a roster of 5/5 against all 6/4 teams.

Season 10, a Decade of Reachin' We played in the Gina Swanson Memorial Tournament for the 5th year, going 4-1 not placing, 5 year record is 18-4, Said goodbye to Bryant and Debbie, Kim has agreed to be full time, Chantel Machado will be in her first season, John Mason & Jay Hyrhya will join us, welcome back Bob, Andy, Lippe, Trevor, Erik, Danica & Kelsey.  This will be ReachArounds final Regular Season.
