After hearing from several players/parents we have added additional registration sessions to our calendar. Please set aside either Saturday, 4/8/17 from 10am-11:30am or Wednesday 4/12/17 from 5:30 PM-7:00 PM to attend one of our registration sessions at the Lottie Fisk Building (Vernon Parks and Recreation office building) on South Street in Rockville, CT. There will be NO additional sessions for the Summer 2017 season after the 4/12/17 date. Register before April 12th, 2017
It's officially spring and as we draw closer to the start of the local high school seasons, we are also drawing to a close our open registrations for the 2017 summer Post 14 American Legion Baseball season.
The official registration period for Post14ALBB closes on April 12th, 2017. After that we plan to continue to accept registrations with an additional non-refundable fee of $30.00.
In an effort to finalize our tryout/regular season schedule and any additional planning we ask that all players register for Post 14 American Legion baseball no later than April 12th date.

2017 POST 14 American Legion Baseball Registrations Scheduled
When
Tuesday, February 22nd- 5:30-7:00 PM
Wednesday, February 23rd- 5:30-7:00 PM
Saturday, February 25th- 10:30 AM-12 Noon
Where
Lottie Fisk Building, 120 South Street, Vernon, CT
(Located directly behind McCoy Field @ Henry Park)
Registration Cost
- 2017 Summer season registration cost is $285.00/player
- Note: There is a $85.00 fee due at the time of registration
- Players that are selected to participate this amount will be included as payment toward the full registration fee.
- Players who attend tryouts and are not selected will be refunded the $85.00 registration fee, that was paid at the time of registration, in full.
- Note: There is a $85.00 fee due at the time of registration
Schedule Information
- Post 14 ALBB summer tryouts will occur during the week/weekend immediately following the conclusion of the Rockville/Coventry High School regular baseball seasons.
- Between 24-30 regular season games between (approx.) 6/1/17 and 7/20/17.
- American Legion Baseball Tournament play/practice begins immediately following the regular season and can extend into the end of July.
- The Rockville Post 14 American Legion Baseball program requires 100% commitment from the players, parents, coaches and management.
- NOTE: The rule for rescheduling (due to bad weather, etc.) is that both teams must play on the next scheduled open day for each team.
- Example: If game on Tuesday is postponed due to bad weather and both teams have their next open date on the following Sunday. The make-up game must be played on that day. If not both teams will be given a loss.

Player eligibility
- Players must reside in the towns of Coventry, Rockville and Vernon.
- Legion age is based on the year the player was born.
- Players born during the years of 1998 and 2002 would be eligible

Hello from Post14ALBB…there may still be snow on the ground and more to come in winter months to follow, but don’t be fooled. baseball season is right around the corner. We will be announcing registration events in the very near future. We will be making every effort to keep our registration fees to a minimal. We do, however, require assistance in areas like score keeping, coaching, fundraising and overall management of the program. Please feel free to contact Dave Glidden at 860-872-0455 if you have any interest in helping to maintain this competitive program in the Rockville and Coventry area. To all current and former players and coaches of the Post 14 American Legion Program. We have been notified that Robert "Bob" Berger will be inducted posthumously into the CT American Legion Hall of Fame. As many may know the Post 14 (Rockville) team has been in existence since the end of World War II, Known to many as "Berg" within the American Legion Baseball program in which he dedicated over 55 years of service prior to his passing in 2014.
He, along with several other Hall of Fame inductees and 2016 award winners, will be honored in the upcoming during the CT American Legion Baseball 16th Annual Hot Stove Dinner on Friday, January 6th, 2017 at the Aqua Turf in Planstville, CT. Cocktails will be served at 6:30 PM with dinner at 7:00 PM. The MC for the event will be Rich Coppola from WTIC-TV. Tickets for this event are $45.00 per person.
