SHARKEY AND SON SIGN ON THE DOTTED LINE

 

February 11, 2023 --- Aces GM Peter Colwell has reached into his bag of tricks and signed father and son. Jason Sharkey and Ben Richard. Sharkey and Colwell are no strangers to each other. Jason Captained the Subway Flyers for four years, a team Colwell owned many years ago. They won a Provincal Championship together and two trips to the Eastern Canadians. Ben is coming off a championship himself last season with the Reapers. He had a chance to share that championship with his father and they hope to do the same with the Aces.

 

ACES SIGN BROTHERS

 

February 10, 2023 --- The Saint John Aces have signed brothers Kyle Kinney and Austin Ranson. Kyle comes to the Aces from the Lancaster Magnums. Ranson as played in the Metro league in previous years. The Aces are hoping the brother can bring some more offence to the line up.

 

 

ACES BUSY SIGNING FINAL PLAYERS TO ROSTER

 

February 9, 2023 --- The Saint John Aces GM Peter Colwell has been busy finalizing his roster. Colwell made a hadful of signings today.  Players added,  Defencman AJ Learmonth, Goalie Daniel Ryan as well as affiliate players Jordan Little and Dominic Pelletier. Little is an equipment manager with the Campbellton Tigers of the JR "A" league and Pelletier is an assistant equipment manager of the Saint John Seadogs. Leamonth is no stranger to the metro league, he helps coach the Port City Pigeons. Ryan is a former goalie for the metro league Heros.

 

 

RICHARD BROTHERS ON ACES RADAR

 

February 7, 2023 --- Connor and Cameron Richard are looking to join the Aces this summer and the team feels the same. As of late last evening Connor has signed to play with the Aces and talks with Cameron are in the works. Both players are strong on the blueline and have great shots. Adding both boys would strengthen  the already strong defence core.

 

FORMER MEDIA LEAF FORWARD SIGNS WITH ACES

 

February 7, 2023 --- Jonas Glidden who played for the Media Leafs last season in the Metro League has signed with the Aces. Glidden brings speed, size and toughness to the Aces. No doubt that he has the game vs the Leafs circled on the calendar.

 

ACES SIGN MAGNUMS DONALD

 

February 7, 2023 --- The Saint John Aces have signed another Lancaster Magnums forward Carter Donald. Donald a rough 4'7 200lbs forward with good hockey sense and great hands, should help the Aces up front. Carter joins his other Magnums linemates Jacob Stackhouse and Hayden Colwell for the upcoming season.

 

ACES ADD LIVELY BETWEEN THE PIPES

 

February 6, 2023 --- The Aces are at it again adding Alex Lively to their roster. With this signing they now have their first goalie. Alex will be looking for bragging rights if the Aces ever happen to face his fathers team. His father Todd is also a goalie. Scouts say Alex has more potential then Todd did at that age.

 

SEAWARD SIGNS WITH ACES

 

February 6, 2023 --- Simonds Seabees defencemen Harrison Seaward has signed with the Aces for the upcoming 2023 season. Seawards size and shot will add power to the back end. Harrison is no stranger to the ball hockey world, his dad Randy played in the metro league for many years winning many championships.

 

 

ACES SIGN FATHER/SON DUO

 

February 5, 2023 --- The Saint John Aces have signed Terry and Griffin Crossman as the next set of players added to the 2023 roster. Terry is well known in the ball hockey world and added him to the roater brings leadership and awareness to the team. Griffin is looking to carry on the Crossman name in the Metro league.

 

 

ACES SIGN TWO LANCASTER MAGNUMS PLAYERS

 

February 4, 2023 --- Saint John Aces GM/Coach Peter Colwell has signed the first two players of the 2023 season. Jacob Stackhouse and Hayden Colwell become the first two players added to the Aces roster for the upcoming ball hockey season. Both players have added offence this season to their minor hockey club and the Aces hope it carries over in the ball hockey season.
