Testimonials:
"Coach May worked with a group of our Bantam players this fall. We felt that the fundamental concepts he teaches at his clinics improved our players overall understanding of the game of basketball. He focused on concepts that were basic in nature and worked up from there to challenge our players. Mike was able to take a group of girls and guide them in principles such as balancing the court, reading the defense, driving lanes, moving without the ball, and took the time to point out missed opportunities and how to remedy the situation. His understanding of the game brings in aspects of basketball that feels "old school" in terms of being fundamentally sound which alot of player miss out on these days. We skipped our fall league this year to bring our players in to work with Coach May and it was one of the best choices we made in helping our team come together with a united approach to teamwork." -Barb Gunnarson (Lone Peak Bantam Girls Coach)
"I strongly recommend Mike May as a Basketball coach to assist teams and individuals with Instructional Skill Development. He knows Basketball like few in the Valley, and his coaching abilities are off the charts. He has a way of keeping the kids’ attention throughout practice, not an easy task for 8-10 year old boys! He teaches my kids skills that few high school players ever learn. Candidly, everyone involved in these practices walk away better players, with a higher degree of understanding and appreciation for the game. My players love Tuesday nights when they come to Mike's practices, and they always leave much better prepared for the games. If you’re looking for someone to teach your kids solid Basketball skills, you need to use Mike May. He has my highest recommendation!"-Jim Niemela
"Mike does a great job! He is good with the kids, he understands basketball and explains the game well. The 3 on 3 format is also a good learning format. It provides opportunity to learn the basics and keeps everyone involved. My son is looking forward to more sessions too!" -J. Scott Sargent
"I’m a huge fan of coach May’s instructional 3 on 3. It’s the missing link between individual skills development and full 5 on 5 team basketball. It’s a fun competitive environment that the kids really enjoy. Every kid gets lots of touches and coach May is great at instructing and stopping play in a way that maximizes learning but still lets the kids compete and have fun. Kids really learn how to read the defense, get open, and move with and without the ball with purpose. In addition they learn on and off ball screening, when to pass, when to drive, when to shoot, and how to face on ball pressure. I have 3 kids in the program and would highly recommend it to anyone."

"I have coached basketball for many years and have had my children attend many different camps and programs. After watching Mike coach and instruct for one hour my daughters and I learned more than in three days at other camps. Mike's teaching method gives the children chances to practice moving without the ball, positioning themselves with other players, and how to prepare themselves to read a defense. One of the things I really liked about Mike is that he stops the group and instructs them along the way so that they can quickly fix mistakes and learn from them. Mike is a great teacher."

"It's unbelievable! My son, at the age of nine, has improved so much over the past month by just spending time with Mike. I've been amazed watching how this kind of training has sharpened his skills and taught him how to navigate the floor in a way that I haven't seen before. Very valuable stuff here! It's a testament to Mike's understanding of the game and his ability to coach and help a young player like my son understand where to be on the floor and how to be effective. My son's confidence has skyrocketed. I couldn't ask for more."
