Dave Blomberg appeared in 475 games as a Muskie beginning in 2001.  Playing mostly shortstop and third base, Dave backed up CSBL Hall of Famers Steve Lane and Todd Sippel through 2004, when he became the Muskies’ regular shortstop. He had several outstanding seasons including 2003 when he hit .313 drove in 26 runs and was named to the NABF All-World Series team.  He hit .331 and scored 37 runs in 2005 while stealing 19 bases.  In 2007, Dave hit .379 in 167 plate appearances.   2009 was probably his best season as he batted .309 with 4 home runs, 40 runs scored and 26 RBI.  Dave appeared in nine NABF World Series and was the team’s starting shortstop on both the 2009 runner up and 2010 championship teams.  He ended his career with 20 home runs.  His 138 stolen bases are second most in team history while his 396 hits are third most in team history behind Lane and Sippel.
