Nate Henry

Like the old Timex commercial my nominee takes a licking and keeps on ticking. It used to take a lot of fortitude to pitch to the sluggers in this league prior to safety nets and face masks. This guy took some of the hardest shots I've ever seen and kept coming back for more. Many of you probably have already guessed who my candidate is. I've had the pleasure of playing with him several years in the league and in tournament ball. To say he is competitive is a gross understatement. That competitive nature always comes with a smile and a kind word for teammates. He has given of his time to coach and volunteer at our games and outings. To keep coming back after injury shows his love and dedication to the game of softball. It is my pleasure to nominate as this year's Jim Smith award winner, Mr. Nate Henry.
