Umpire Rules of Conduct

 

NOTE:  Unsportsmanlike conduct (e.g., arguing, using profane language, physical altercation, threatening other players, etc.) will NOT be tolerated by the league at any time. Players and managers are subject to IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION from a game(s) and future suspension, depending on the incident.

 

  • Practice needs to stop by 6:50 p.m.Inform Players and Managers to get off the field and be ready to start the first game at 7:00 p.m.

 

  • Keep the game moving along in order to complete 7 full innings

 

  • Ensure the correct wearing of and placement of all protective equipment by the players.

 

  • Keep accurate score for the entire games.

 

  • Instruct each manager face-to-face at the start of the “open” inning.

 

  • Support and uphold authority of League Board of Directors and Managers

 

  • Issue a warning to a player for arguing. Immediately STOP the game and inform the Manager of the warning.If conduct continues, EJECT the player.

 

  • Know all league rules and enforce them.

 

  • No conversations during the game so as to move it along.

 

  • Exercise the same respect and consideration for all players.

 

  • Allow a maximum 5 pitch warm-up before the first inning only or with a change of pitchers.

 

  • Ensure no infield warm-ups after the first inning of a game.

 

  • Allow only a 5 minute time limit between the end of the first game and the start of the second game.
  • Follow attached “SECTION 4 UMPIRE SYSTEMS” to make calls.
