Eagles Pull Away From SeaHawks in the 4th
4/9/2015

The Eagles overcame a tough 3rd quarter where they were outscored 4-1 to beat the Redondo Union Sea Hawks 14-9.  It was all OP in the 4th as the Eagles kept their cool in a physical game and outscored Redondo 6-1 to win going away.  Once again 6 Eagles had multi point games with Brendan Egan leading the way with 5 goals and an assist.

On the JV side, the Eagles started slow with only 3 goals in the first quarter but the defense was solid once again, shutting out the Sea Hawks to take a 15-0 win.  Five players tallied at least 3 points with Cal McCleery leading the charge with 3 goals and 3 assists.  After an unimpressive opener against Loyola and a heartbreaking OT loss to Foothill, OP has reeled off 5 straight wins and outscored their opponents by an average score of 11-3 including two shutouts for the defense.  The JV Eagles play 2 game tough games over Spring Break when TO comes to town on Tuesday and then travel to Palos Verdes on Thursday.

The Eagles will be hosting the Amador Valley Dons on Thursday at 7:30 for a varsity only affair.  The Dons are traveling from Pleasanton in the San Francisco Bay area and bring an 8-1 record into Eagle stadium on Thursday.

We are planning a BBQ immediately after the game for both teams.  The players eat free and the parents get a great deal with cheeseburger or hot dog, chips and a drink only $5.  Come support the team and enjoy the get together by the snackbar after the game.
