Captains Named
Congratulations to Junior Defenseman Sage Welch for being named the Captain of the boys' varsity hockey team for 2009-2010 by the coaching staff. "We are looking for leadership and a new direction this year from our captains" says Coach Ashley.
Also returning for his second year as Assistant Captain is Senior Ian Nicoll who brings his senior leadership to the team and newly named Assistant Captain Senior Jeremiah Moss. "This is the first year the captains have been chosen by the coaching staff instead of a secret ballot by players and we, as a coaching staff, felt it was becoming more of a popularity contest with the boys rather than a position of leadership." "We will be counting on these three young men to help turn the ship around from last year's lackluster season."
