It might have been that the game was played in the afternoon. It might have been that the Colorado Kings and the Missouri Rhythm were completely drained from the intensity of the game from the night before, but the second game of the series had none of the drama of the previous day.

As usual the Colorado Kings kept it close early. In fact they were losing at the end of the first quarter. Both teams struggled to find their games. The fans hoped that this game wasn’t going to be a yawner. The Kings may have sensed our unease and began to bring the excitement and energy that we have become accustomed to see. They were up by ten at halftime, up by 14 at the end of the third quarter.

There was a little skirmish in the 3rd quarter, but it was more The Sandlot than 300.  The Colorado Kings eked out another win, this time winning by 22 points.
